One of the greatest visual catalysts that sucked me into Wipeout's future and made it real were the highly advanced and way ahead of their time logo designs. Their style and impact rival anything generated by today's top corporate graphic designers, and they've never looked better than they do in the Omega Collection. There aren't enough superlatives I can shower on this perfect and visually jaw dropping remastered collection, and I can only imagine what it would feel like to race in a fully immersive VR Wipeout environment.
The track actually is fairly easy because it's wider with more drawn out corners than most other tracks. The trickiest one from 2048 probably has to be Subway, hated that track so much. 😂
Your brain will melt at this speed but its extremely fun highly recommend if you have the stomach for it lol this is the most insane speed you will ever experience
GX was my only game for a long time..way way faster than wipeout.. the skill ceiling here isn't as high as GX, but the mechanics are still really fun to get into.. I couldn't do with another fzero in my life though :)
I just beat it by like a hundgy seconds with my hands on my head and using my feet while eating ice cream. don't worry but keep practicing and ull get as wicked good as me well maybe close ;)
I'd think it would have been crushed since this went up in 2017.. There's also 3 other places you can bounce from a landing and barrel roll again. I took a few seconds off of this by using the bounces rolls. You can also drop off a platform to the left near the end for an added roll. All yours to take my good sir!
@@mancans6862 I've got a record on omega but you couldn't pay me to attempt one on 2048....It's no wonder the 20 year almost series died after that games release
During the 2050 season, the Mag-Strip technology had some safety issues that led to it getting nixed from the F3600 league. I think it may have come back during the F9000, which is why there are loops and drops and such, but I'm not sure. This technology was not perfected during the FX300 league, so Sol 2 had to be significantly downscaled.
I hate to Bragg but that record is in jeopardy. I know it's not project cars or a track based on a real one, but I have a habit of taking track records and beating them. especially with the F1 cars I love driving those Formula 1 cars.... HAHAHA!!! I don't even have the game.... but I'm a fast learner, especially if this becomes my favorite track, and I find my favorite ship, but there lies my problem, I have another habit of wanting to try every vehicle on the game, so that means I'll go straight to carrier mode and I don't stop until I get everything unlocked or purchased. so celebrate while you can.
@@DiscoMouse, I don't remember, I haven't played that game in years. I mainly Play FH5 and Microsoft Flight Simulator on the Xbox series X. That was probably when I was on the PS4, I still have it. But haven't touched in a long time. Been planning on replacing it with the PS5.

Incredible track. First made it's appearance on Wipeout 2048 on the vita. It can be a bit tricky at high speeds but you made it look easy!

Yeah I added 4 more barrel rolls in a newer run. No doubt this record has been beaten!
This is as fast as F-Zero GX, but it feels too floaty
GX was my only game for a long time..way way faster than wipeout.. the skill ceiling here isn't as high as GX, but the mechanics are still really fun to get into.. I couldn't do with another fzero in my life though :)
the floaty is what make the game fun, the ships don't corner on rails, they float and they handle like they float

Not an actual world record, the real record is 2.40.55, which is held on the Vita (original) version.
