Thank you thank you reader racing!!! I really appreciate that. I felt awful … almost to tears 🤣 lol haha. It was a mis-communication between Rocky and me. He said “I’m gonna start with the big ramp” and I dialed the camera in the “OTHER” big ramp!!!! Ugh. I was mainly just angry 😡 with myself for missing the shot for y’all. Thanks again for the kind comment and encouragement!!! Rocky didn’t mind, he’s used to me missing shots etc. Hahaha

@@juliachatwellno worries. I can’t tell you how many times I missed an EPIC fail. Makes me so mad😡. That’s one big reason why I switched to using a GoPro. I pretty much never miss a shot anymore. But your camera work zoomed in on the vehicle at all times is impressive. You’ve got quite the skill.

It took some teamwork that’s for sure. ✅💯 skateparks are my least favorite place to film. Also, It was the first jump outta the box and we both thought the Outcast was done and so were we!!! Haha So that’s a great testament to the new outcast durability. We took her home and made the repairs and she did amazing. It’s definitely my favorite rig ( always has been) and it’s a Quality product! I’m glad rocky got her back in his fleet.

The outcast provides some of the best content in my opinion. Very entertaining truck to watch. So versatile
I never wanted one, mostly because I don’t like the style (more a Kraton guy) but man this 8S is absolutely sick. Love the style too on the newer version. And I agree the content is dynamite, they just spin so easily.
I'd pick the outcast hands down anytime it jus sounds so aggressive and it's driving characteristics are wild

One question: why do the Xmaxx gears always sound so crunchy like there is a pebble being ground in them??? I was just wondering if you catch that noise in the videos? Thank you so much Jason it was quite a battle yesterday here at the skate park! I am truly amazed at how well the Xmaxxs did, and how well the Outcast did, considering the skate park is so brutal. To answer your question the sound you were hearing from the Xmaxxs is due to a secret mod that I do to the Center Driveshaft. I cut the driveshaft into two pieces and connected with the driveshaft spline. It always sounds crunchy when jumping, but the driveshaft is almost indestructible.👍💯🚀🚀💯👍💥💥💥💥💥💥👍👍

Both with sideways landings tend to break something depending on the height and surface it’s crashing into. I love my outcast though so much more stable than the xmaxx. Also when going for massive air the xmaxx needs a lot of small upgrades to make it reliable. Both a lot of fun though.

I am always amazed and impressed by the XMaxx. Such a great vehicle. I have the baby brother ... the Maxx and the amount of abuse it takes is equally impressive. I've never broken anything in 8 months. I'm sure it will someday and the will be fine.

. It's tough though. But I broke a lot of stiff on mine. Kept knocking the bell crank out if it until I replaced it and chassis brace with GPM parts, and rear hubs are weak spots on mine

I would like to know your thoughts on the wide maxx v2 that came out reciently. I cant afford a 1000 dollar xmaxx even if it is worth it. But i can swing around 500 to 600. So the widemaxx is in my ballpark. Im just curious if you get as much bang for the buck as you have with the xmaxx. Anyway great channel keep it up skyhigh!

Yeah man in my book Outcast Round 1, Xmaxx clearly took round 2 but in fairness you landed bad with the Xmaxx no doubt, but wondering if it would have taken those two sideways landings that killed the Outcast 2x??
Both outstanding rigs, Xmaxx definitely more forgiving for bad landings, there is no way an Outcast 8s can hang with the Xmaxx in the Skatepark... Facts, your gonna eventually land wrong and the Outcast will break faster for sure. If your landing close to perfect every time (which almost never happens) then sure there is a solid chance Outcast can take that round.😎👍

Both are fantastic vehicles, but the Xmaxx is far more "self-correcting" in the air due to it's light weight.
Great bash, hard to hold up to a Xmaxx. The plastic construction really takes some abuse....the outcast is awesome tho, the new body looks killer with the red aluminum parts!!!!

Outcast most definitely has the WAY better drive terrain. The way they designed the center diff and how beefy the gears are just knocks the Xmaxx drive terrain out of the water.

It’s not bent. What you are hearing is a secret mod that I have done to the center driveshaft. It will never bend. I call it the wobble shaft. 💪🏆🏆⚡️⚡️
I'm a day 0 arrma fan boy but XMaxx has been the ultimate basher for years now. If Arrma could shed some weight on the 8s line up it could be another conversation. Arrma definitely drive alot better but as you said bashing you gotta give it to the Arrma. Great video bro.

Who wants to buy a lightly used and slightly bent chassis Arrma outcast 8S? Raise your hand 😁 xmaxx looks far more confident and controlled
The thing is these RYR's will take a beating. So long as they're landed right. As soon as you have one bad landing it's over. That's why driver skill is so important. But also why there's an entire industry behind the upgrades needed to improve durability. If you add all the upgrades to this rig I'm confident that the bad landings wouldn't immediately break it. Now a few bad landings and it's still going to break. But the same can be said about Traxxas. The XMaxx stock spur gear is made of cheap metal. They break easily. The bellcrank on the XRT breaks easily. The chassis on both will break with bad landings.

Not a fare comparison when you've been driving it for 6 months while the arrma is new. Traxxas will break with the same bad crashes.
8s armor it's just way to heavy it's not built for that needs a lot of redesigning taller stance bigger shock absorbers bigger parts it's just not a good build

@JohnPopeye I thought so. The thing is I've been in rc's long enough now. And they all break. I have 2 4S Kraton V2's. The first one I got still has the original chassis. I have had sent that thing to the moon and landed really bad. And that truck has taken it all. So I bought another one 2 weeks ago. Already broke the chassis. In three pieces. Point being is that it's just one of those things. Results will vary. And driver skill has a lot to do with it too. You watch guys like Aldo and Rich. Those guys land perfect every time. And again it is clearly audible that the center shaft in his XMaxx is bent. Which is no big deal. It's just I don't appreciate misrepresentation. Just be real. I have seen that the XMaxx is very durable. But that's because it's all plastic. So it's light. But I've also seen that the spur gears are made of crap metal. Bellcranks break. And they're under powered.

Hi John It’s not metal plates on the chassis. The Traxxas chassis has been spray painted silver, that’s all! The sparks flying were probably from a loose screw.
