Bought one just like it a few years ago at local Home Depot to trace copper pair phone line circuits in a new construction home. Yep..., you already know no dial tone due to the the jacks being miswired at the phone jack. Swapped it back to the color that was used at the demarc phone box and presto! In like Flynn! Plenty of loud dialtone then. This is a good tracer for the money spent. Glad to see your tracer is as handy as mine! John S.
@@farmboy30117 Nice tool. Makes everything certain. I'm not a licensed electrician but retired lineman & am pretty knowledgeable with circuits etc with work at my house. You can be pretty safe with basic knowledge. 2 wire hook'em up 3 wire screw'em up lol. I knew a guy that wouldn't change a light bulb with out turning off the main breaker.
