I created all of my templates, but they are fairly simple. You may be able to find one in the FDOT examples. All feature definitions are FDOT Feature Definitions and may change slightly depending on which version of the workspace you have installed.
@@BillingsCADD I just have not seen someone use the construction lines so much, it makes a lot of sense. Those are the feature defs I was wondering about. They do seem simple, but your use of them I cant wrap my head around. I am using CoSD workspace updated through PW.
@@XCAPTAINHOOK I have gotten a lot of comments on my usage of construction lines. Mostly it's to avoid intervals along lines such as the top of berm. I just find they make my life easier and my models more dynamic. For the pond example here, I can easily adjust the construction lines along the R/W if I choose, which will in turn adjust the lines offset from those lines. Or I can adjust the offset from the R/W line. I tend to use construction lines all over, so perhaps taking a look at some of my other 3D modeling videos will give you some more ideas for how to use. As for the feature definitions, maybe CDOT has some construction features created that you could use. Or perhaps you could contact them and suggest they add some. I wouldn't mind if FDOT added a few more colors for us honestly haha! Good luck and thanks for watching.
Hi, what version are you using ? We’re all of your linear templates and feature definitions part of the FDOT workspace, or did you make them yourself?
