I wanted to give some insight to all upcoming traders and even traders that have some trading experience under their belt. Day trading is a very difficult career. I have been trading stocks and options for 7+ years and this has been my biggest year so far!

Being aware of when I’m forcing things to happen is huge. I come from corporate America so I’m used to making a consistent paycheck. And trying to find that same biweekly direct deposit in trading usually leads me down a painful path. Great video.

Umar... I have been trading Since 03/19/20 and I went from $26K to almost $76K so far. I was at $82K about 5 weeks ago, but I got cocky and took to large a position in the Chinese EV stocks and was way down a couple weeks ago. Luckily I'm "only" down single digits now. I completely get your advice here. I don't even think about the $ now, for me it is about the percentages. Although I am proud of my accomplishments over 8 and a 1/2 months it took me longer than it should have to learn to get out of a bad trade quickly. That's pride & ego. At least I have finally admitted that I do make bad trades and getting out is OK, because if you keep waiting for something to come back when it obviously is not going to you don't do yourself any favors. Sometimes I will sell a stock at 1 penny profit just to get out and allow myself to use that cash for a better play on another day and consider myself lucky. The most important thing I have learned in the last 2 months is to watch the pre market for signals of what is happening with each stock I plan to trade that day. The pre market tells me a lot and makes me either go or no go on certain trades. So I'm at $75,888.00 now In my goal is to be at $200,000 by next January 1st, one trade at a time. Like you tell us it's super important when you take a position to know beforehand where you're going to get out if it goes bad and to go ahead and let it ride if it goes up and not to get out too early. It's hard to watch when you are up 10% then it drops to 5% quickly, but sometimes it goes to 15% or more & waiting was the right call. Usually my list of stocks is mostly in the red because I tend to take profits too early so my 2 things to practice this year is to get out quickly if it goes bad at let's say 2% fown and to go ahead and let it ride if these stock is appreciating. 💯% with This video man, same thing happened to me, one amazing month doing everything right them got overconfidence and overzised one trade and took a big hit them emotions came in and started to hesitate on goods setups and all those things(luckly i sizedown and keep stop on 1% cruz after that was taking fomo trades and i had like 6 consecutive lose) but them i took some days off to analized my mistakes and i figured out i had to stop carring for how much i win or lose and just focus on applying right my Trading plan, from there everything is flowing much better.

Chart reading is 10% of the game, real skill is tape reading, how to read volume with price action at important inflection points, buyers and sellers' sentiment and control your own emtions. Hold tight on winning trade and become restless on losing trade.

Learn to become patient and let the trades come to you. If you’re watching a symbol like waiting for water to boil, you can easily get bored. Track several stocks and there will always be something to play.

Took me 4 years to learn that I'm a technical/momentum equities trader.
I've 39+% my portfolio in the last 3 months. I'm very strict on my entries, & very little leeway once the trade starts going against my strategy before I cut it loose.
My goal for 2021 is to continue my current progress and adjust my strategies with the market as needed.

Thanks Umar, I do feel like you are talking about me!! I was doing really good until my ego get the best of me and blew up my account from 506k to the lower 380k.It was very painful lesson and my mistake were risks management, positions, sizing, emotions, revenging trade ,greedy and ignoring stop loss application. I took a break for while and came back after cool off and now I am trying to break even my losses. They were mistakes worthy learning and taught me a great and hard lesson on how to apply disciplines when trading,

I copy her trades on my own trading account and at the end of the month I give her a percentage as agreed upon while i get increased exposure on how she navigates the market

One of the far better trading videos I have yet to encounter. I'm on my second month of trading. 1st month...made 24K on a paper trading account. This month...up 5k...just lost it all yesterday. Took a big hit last week, thought I knew a lot but got humbled by the market, had a lot of stuff going on my personal life which got me emotional too. "Focus on the process" It amazes me how people get into trading with the wrong mentality and mindset thinking this is easy money. To all the newbie/rookie traders if trading were easy everyone would be doing it, hence the 90% failure rate! Don't worry about making money instead focus and concentrate on learning how to properly trade!
