Hate to break it to you but this is absolutely not a stage 2 330i, especially with a 0-60 of 5.6 seconds which is what BMW lists on their website as “stock car acceleration”. Im running Jb+, dinan cold air intake, dinan turbo inlet, and ER charge pipe on my 2022 330xi and im hitting 4.3 seconds to 60mph. Technically my set up would be considered stage 0 since its all under factory DME control. Stage 1 would require intercooler and downpipes with Bootmod3 , stage 2 would need a larger intake manifold and bigger turbo all of which would put you well over 500HP and 550ft-lb.
Definitely not the case, he probably didn’t do a good launch and also he doesn’t have an Xdrive, his launch control does not compare he most definitely is stage 2 it probably just spins the tires at launch or is harder to launch well Stage 1 mods = intake, charge pipe, stage 1 flash tune (can get up to 320 crank with E tune) stage 2 = intake, charge pipe, downpipe, stage 2 tune (can get up to 400 crank hp with E tune) the intake manifold upgrade and turbo would be considered stage 3 (can get up to 550WHP with E tune)
And I can also tell you that without a flash tune and catless or race downpipe you most definitely are not running under 4.5 seconds if that with a lower than stage 2 tune, even with xdrive

0-60 times are super misleading. Tires, tire wear, altitude, humidity, road surface all play a part in getting that number and that is not even accounting for the human factor.
Both are safe but an ecu remap will be more expensive and you won’t be able to change the burble settings or anything. You could ask your tuner to make a very safe map if that’s really what you want but bm3 isn’t going to blow up your engine
@davinchi923 I have xhp Trans tune but that helped a bit, but not too much. My problem is related to a lack of in-gear responsiveness. My first tune with the car, with DME Tuning and the car felt super fast, but after a couple days it felt almost stock - very boring. I tried to reflash, and tried various other OTS and custom tunes, but same thing. I tried various aftermarket intakes, and no change. Never been able to explain the phenomena. I thought there is something wrong with the car, but I've spent a year asking around, and changed a bunch of parts with no improvement. I am hitting boost targets and MAF/MAP are detecting good air-flow, but car feels like crap, pre-boost (under 2500 RPM). You have to drive the car like you stole it to go fast, and yes, it will do 100-200kmh in 11.48s which is very quick - BUT it totally lacks any responsiveness - which makes the car only impractically fun, but not on a day-to-day basis or even with moderately aggressive driving. Just a couple days ago, I decided to set the throttle booster to a very high 9:1 setting (which activates check engine light) and voila! - it did bring back the, in gear, responsiveness I had with DME Tuning - but still, it isn't refined off the line - almost jerky and hard to modulate, due to necessary, extreme, throttle booster setting. The fact I have to use a 9:1 setting (10% pedal = 90% throttle) should be clue to to what is wrong with it. Maybe DME Tuning and my old tuned Audi A4 Quattro did include such extreme throttle settings. It sure makes a difference.

@@av9z678 well I live in California. So when I was running it I wasn’t running ACN 91 I was running regular 91 stage 1 and it was running good for like a week then one time I was driving I lost all power and my car started smoking and misfiring.

Also forgot to mention I didn’t change my spark plugs before tuning it so you really should change your spark plugs just to play it safe but bootmod is probably the way to go if you’re gonna tune it. Personally I’m just gonna slap on a jb+ or keep it stock. I don’t think this car is worth tuning tbh I’m just gonna wait till I get an m340i
I have a 2023 230i and I swear it is much faster than the 330i despite both of them having the same engine. Not sure if they are tuned differently but with a simple JB4 map 1 piggyback I’m hitting 60 in 5 seconds flat with ease. BMW claims the 230i weighs about the same as the 330i but I find that extremely difficult to believe considering how much quicker the 230i can be. The stage 2 330i in the video would get walked by a base 230i.

JB4 does most of the heavy lifting but the DP is about another 15hp if you do the JB4 tuning. You need to buy that Bluetooth adapter for your JB4 to run logs and dial it in.

Both are safe but an ecu remap will be more expensive and you won’t be able to change the burble settings or anything. You could ask your tuner to make a very safe map if that’s really what you want but bm3 isn’t going to blow up your engine

The tune will give you a lot of pops which also comes with speed, the downpipe only gives that deep tone sound which is louder for the exhaust
