    Thanks for showing how to change out the net wrap. I've not operated a baler with that type of wrapping set up. We had twine on the old International 241 & 2400 that we had years ago. Stay safe.

    Thank for the video. We watched a John Deere promotion and they made it look so hard. Doesn’t look that hard at all. Great video

      Its not hard, and its actually fast if you're not video taping it!

      larsonvalleyfarm It takes about 4 minutes to reload are net wrap on our John Deere. But sometimes a break fails. Sometimes it doesn’t feed. Every time you have to get out of the tractor to fix the net wrap. It takes about 10 minutes to fix it. I like how the new Holland look. But it seems everyone on UA-cam has John Deere. We are demoing a new one in the spring just would like to know a little more information about them. Thank you for your help.

    Hey Brad...I know this video is older but on your windgard I had the same problem...I just took a peace of 2×2 angle iron and welded it over the round tube never had a problem since

    That doesn’t look too hard, does the net wrap ever get caught in the material and get bales up?

    • @LVFFarmVlogs
      @LVFFarmVlogs  7 років тому

      +Massey1105driver never happened yet

      larsonvalleyfarm well that’s a good thing. When I worked on the dairy we had a Gehl round baler with twine and every so often the twine would get caught in the pickup and get bales up. What a mess! Lol.

      My Vermeer 604K I traded on this baler was twine only and the same thing would happen, or the stalks could pull the twine out of the tube!

    I call it a wind guard as well

    I baked a few bales without the wind guard. However my 640 was a twine tie and stalks would catch my string a lot.

    Net wrap is nice, still doing twine myself cuz the 530 JD baler is paid for and we only do between 120-200 bales a year. Can't bring myself to upgrade yet lol. Net wrap does make a nicer bale though.

      I'm hoping with electric fencing, stockpiling grass, and planting oats/rye for winter pasture that we can get out of having to bale anything eventually.

    This would be very similar if not the same as the process for a new Holland 650, wouldn't it?

    Looks similar to the newer ones but I think the newer one is a bit easier. Can I have the old roll ? Looked like a enough to do another bale on it yet. Lol

      +Josh Timer lol! Normally I run the roll out before changing it!

    That's not cover-edge is it? I have to say that the John Deere is a wee bit less complicated to change or thread, probably more of a pain when it don't work right

    • @LVFFarmVlogs
      @LVFFarmVlogs  7 років тому

      No cover edge.... Its actually fast to change if not fiddling with a camera!

    Polarity is critical with LED lights. Incandescent bulbs will work in either polarity, but LED can only work when biased in the correct direction. They are diodes after all. If they are wired backwards they will block the flow of electricity.

      +bavariabearfan I'll try it again
