Last time I was into RC the Hyper 7 was the one to have, still have my ST but never got the electric conversion working properly. It sits behind me looking very sad. Your videos remind me of those days where even someone as old as I am can still appreciate how much fun it is when you have a few friends to smash round a car park. The smiles and banter says it all.

I love the videos. I'm thinking about doing a full Rustler 4x4 build soon.
The ESC in my Infraction did the exact same thing. BEC working because the fans would spin up etc. But no LEDs on the ESC itself and no response to throttle. Replaced it with a Max6.
Same, then my Max6 died too, no reason, wasnt even hot. They gave me a good price on a new unit so i was content
@@ruuster83 Hmmm. I looked around and those Firma 150A ESCs are notoriously bad. Lots of reports of them failing. Only one run on the Max6 so far and it was ok. Will see how it goes. If that fails, I hope warranty looks after me. Otherwise Max5 I guess.
Yup, just sold me on a scorched RC inner wheel well set for my slash. I didnt know they made them, no more flipping my RC over a tray to melt the snow out and let it drain!

kev you should try reviewing a mugen seiki buggy or truggy nitro rc car its absolutely fun

I was gutted, my first ever proper run with it and only lasted 5 minutes, it’s all fun, it happens and max did offer to pay for repairs

These were my first upgrades along with carbon fiber spliter and sideguards... Great quality!
I just got my Infraction, I put the speed gear in it before driving it. 4 sets of batteries and my esc did the exact same. Don't know why spektrum esc's are such junk. Either way, got my warranty replacement and castle combo on the way.

Great video! I've just got my Arrma Infraction V2. I've fitted the Scorched Parts mudguards, sills and front floor inserts as well as running 2x Onyx 3s batteries. Still yet to get out as weather has been rank. Hopefully this weekend! 👌 "Yeesss!!!"

Funny thing about the naming convention of things like as you said Fender for example. How has England, the inventors of English not been able to determine the difference between Floor and Ground or Ceiling and Roof. All too many times when watching British UA-camrs when indoors they call the floor the ground and the ceiling the roof. Don't get me wrong, it's not everybody in England that says this, it's just been what I've observed over the years of watching YT or Top Gear (the real Top Gear with Hammond, Clark and May (the other Top Gears can't come close to the comedic genius those guys)) Anyhow, back on topic here. It just boggles the mind that there is a clear difference. Let me know if this more or less a common thing. 😁

Hey Kev, you ever thought about getting one of those “Waeco style” portable 12/24 volt hot freezer fridges you can plug into your cars power socket and storing your lithium batteries in that? A lot of them have a heating function as well which may do well for your batteries performance once you find the optimal operating temperature range for ‘em.

34 years old and I still have never been able to afford a legit rc car lol
we call it a hand brake in the US too.
Odds the onyx battery prototype overvolted and or spiked and killed the esc?
that esc cannot handle back to back high speed runs. i did 91 with a typhon, then 90, then it caught fire LOL. Do not speed run with the spektrum 6s 150a, lesson learned
