Earlier this year, I visited Morocco for the first time with EF Ultimate Break, and when I found cheap flights back to Marrakesh, I knew I had to book the trip! ✈ 🧳
Here’s an overview of my solo journey from Marrakesh to Tangier with a day trip to Chefchaouen and Tetouan. This trip definitely wasn’t perfect with a few hiccups along the way, but I was so grateful to be exploring the rich landscapes and unique cities of Morocco again - would love to do the southern coastal cities next time!

I have visited Morocco 🇲🇦 5 times since the summer of 2023. Just back (21 October 2024) from a lovely break in Essaouira.
InshAllah going there next summer...miss it so much
We dont always go back to where we have been once untill it s a unique place that we fall in love with. As Moroccan I would say sorry for the incident, this could happen too everywhere in this world. Usually tourists got embarresed by fake guides for a tour in places like Medina in Tangier.

This was a wonderful tour of Morocco. Thank you so much for sharing. I'm sorry about the incident you had. I'm Muslim and in Islam we're taught a female should always have a guardian when traveling because of situations like this. When Im with my husband or male relative no one bothers me. As soon as Im alone thats when the roaches come😂. It sucks but that's just reality of the world we live in.
Anyways, of course not everyone is married or has a male relative so traveling with group and guide is the next best thing. Which I see you did in Chefchouen. Very smart.

As a Moroccan I say you should be able to travel alone as a woman, without needing a male companion, or being harassed by some a%%hole. Also, what you believe or don’t believe is none of my business. All I care about is that you are a good person, and that you treat people the way you want to be treated. Have a safe trip 😊

For the incident, you should've reported the freek to the police, or at least grab your phone and tell him I will call the police if you don't go away and start calling them if he doesn't go.
They take it very seriously here and that guy took advantage of your shyness.
Edit : I want to add that this incident has nothing to do with whether you are well covered or not (not naked for sure lol) because a well behaved Muslim will never chase a woman and Islam says to both genders to lower their gaze in an inappropriate situation and not act upon your desire or chase women.
