I wear earplugs and use a Cardo Edge. A Cardo can be paired to my phone, my bike, AND my bike's sat-nav at the same time wirh separately-controllable volumes. AirPods can only be connected to one decice at a time. Cardo has a separate wired mic just millimeters from my mouth. Voice qualiry isn't even comparible.
That’s why a balaclava is needed for your helmets they hold the AirPods in place so the AirPods popping off when trying to wear your helmet is not that valid
Yeah, i wear a balaclava and airpods work well. Cardo is just way better with hey siri functionality though, half the time my airpods dont hear me or dont work with hey siri.
I just switched to Cardo and I'm never going back. I was riding with my phone in my pocket and wired earphones, its a no go. I see it as an investment! Also for my own safety. When wearing in-ears, IF you fall and crash your helmet on the earside, it's going to RUIN your ears. Second, the wired ones, IF you do crash, you could either hang or cut your throat. I think I just want to make sure those two are not going to kill me before anything. But let's keep the rubber straight or in a nice curve on the asphalt 😂😂😂
Yea it's right, it's better to use Cardo than ear pods. I've done it before and it's uncomfortable I even tried using balaclava but in no avail, no. Just don't.
I was great with rocking AirPod pros until my friends all got cardos and I wanted to talk to them. The Cardo works good just missing the noise canceling of the AirPods because they also act as ear plugs
They don't protect against hearing damage, your best bet is to wear high quality earplugs that filter out wind but let you hear your friends and music much better
Unless you want to get some serious permanent hearing damage, which can happen a lot faster than you'd think, you should always wear proper plugs. Airpods are not even an option.
I can tell you from personal experience using your AirPods is the biggest fucking mistake that you can make one when you put them in your ear and put your helmet on your not aware of what the fuck is going on in too. Good luck taking off your helmet without raping the inside of your ear holes because it literally shoves in both inside as hard as they possibly can when you rip off your helmet I just bought this and it works amazing
You can’t link up with other riders with AirPods, so for people who say earbuds of any kind are better than Motorcycle intercom systems must ride Sling Shots and think those are motorcycles.
Earpods are okay for some times ... But not gona lie putting them on kinda a mess meanwhile i am riding it fells like they will fall out, removing the helmet is like impossible Whitaut earbuds falling out...

people underestimate how tight a helmet is supposed to be. I feel like the people that say it's fine, have a too loose helmet
I agree. I like a helmet to be tight enough that it's almost uncomfortable. Then the padding will start to break in over time.

Cardo is better and your ears don’t hurt from the pressure points of the airpods

I strongly agree. I kept forcing my Sony earbuds in place and by the end of the ride, I had a huge migraine then a ear infection later.
Me who been riding with airpods pro and intercom simultaneously. Intercom to talk with rider friends. Airpods to keeps my tunes playing also ANC😂

I've never found a set of earbuds that fit in my ears well. But also a helmet that fits correctly should be tight so that makes buds a pain to use.

Buy a 5$ AirPod ear hook; good to go.
