This is super helpful! What software do you use to get the separate video clips? I assume that you are screen recording your iPad as you work, but what do you use to get the side-by-side look with your video? It looks great!
you can screen record on the ipad (and even record your voice too!) so i just screen recorded what i was doing and recorded my self on my other camera with my external rode go II mic, then just synced up the videos when i edit in final cut pro :) hope that helps! lmk if you have any other questions!!!
yes, you can export the final cut file and air drop it to your laptop. you just wont be able to change the live drawing/or the speed i think. but you can def move them around easier. 🤗

thank you! i edit in FCP on the desktop! (and yes, i just screen record as im working and also turn on microphone record so i can easily sync my video camera and the screen recording in FCP. as for the side by side look, you can do that with the transform tool to move and resize things. but in this video, i went an extra step and created an overlay in canva that had transparent cut outs. then layered those images on my FCP timeline so the video clips fit right into them. i **think** imovie can do the same things, but it might not be as straightforward as in FCP. hope that answers your questions :)
@@rodriguezsarah Amazing! Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. I will definitely give the Canva overlay a try. I also noticed that Final Cut Pro 11 just came out and offers some picture-in-picture options. I'll have to check out both approaches. Thank again for sharing!
Love how you used live drawing to show off live drawing. This is the best live drawing tutorial I have seen!

Very interesting, didn’t know Apple had integrated the drawing tool right into FCP. It’s not in iMovie or Clips. Thanks for making this!
Happy to help! 😊

Would this sync to Final Cut on your laptop?

How do I make a video like this? Phone left and iPad on right
I made the overlay in canva, but i just used the transform tool in final cut pro and dragged+resized them where i wanted. Hope that helps! :)
can you do this in luma fusion?
I’m not sure! I haven’t used Luma Fusion before 😅
What do you use for the voice over?
