Adorable candles. In my experience with the whipped wax candles the only way to avoid the holes is to place candles in hot simmering water on low temp for 1 hour. When you do this it leads to a perfect candle pour.
These are adorable!!!! If I might add though, for anyone who hasn't made candles before, PLEASE make sure that the glass container is heat resistant!!! I can't stress this enough! I used to make candles years ago and still have a 20 pound brick of wax along with wicks, fragrances, color blocks/powder, and molds for every possible shape and size. The absolute best glass container I ever used was canning jars - any size, any brand. That's because they are made to be heated for canning purposes. I had a friend that was getting married and I was making her unity candle and the pillars to light it with. I was still pretty new at it and she brought over a very beautiful rose bowl type vase. I poured the candle and it was doing fine until the wedding ceremony. After the Bride and Groom lit the unity candle, but before the service was over, the glass shattered and went flying everywhere as did the wax. No one got hurt and the fire was put out quickly. Moral of the story - double check the glass (I'm sorry, I don't remember how to check it. You can always Google it.) Lastly, depending on the scent and color of the candle you can use whole coffee beans, conversation hearts along with other such things to sprinkle on the top or through out the candle! I do REALLY love the ones you did Kelly!!!! I'll have to get my stuff out and start making candles again!!!
@@dellahicks7231 Thank you for reading my comment!! I'm sure Kelly can tell you if she's ever had any problems with these glasses/vases. I had a tendency when I made candles to either make pillars, tapers, votives, floating candle shapes or just reuse candle jars and canning jars. Since that happened (close to 25 years ago) I haven't used anything other than those listed above and glassware specifically for candles. I'm not trying to undermine Kelly at all!! From the sounds of it, she has made candles before. Have a lovely week!
@@dellahicks7231 Thank you! I certainly didn't mean to imply that you were undermining Kelly 😉. I think we were debating the same side without either of us realizing it. 😊 Oh how I wish I could plan a crafting day. My card making/rubber stamping/scrapbooking stuff has all been packed away for years, along with my candle making tools. I was diagnosed with a very severe case of Rheumatoid Arthritis about 7 years ago and prior to that my son and daughter-in-law needed to move in with us and had a surprise baby (who is the love of my life now) so I surrendered my craft room so that my grandson could have his own room. They moved out a month before he turned 4 (he's 7 now) and 2 months later my hubby list his father. Hubby and his 2 sisters had to clean out and split all the stuff my in-laws had collected after living in the same house for 60 years. That means my house that once was large enough to raise our son, my 2 step sons, and hubby's 3 nieces (LONG story) is now barely big enough for just the two of us. LoL. It could be worse, but boy oh boy it could be better!! Enjoy your crafting day! A couple years ago I bought some of that REALLY thick yarn to hand knit a blanket, if my hands cooperate I might give that a shot. God Bless!

What a sweet idea that everybody can do!!! What a fun way to be creative without the hassle of buying all the supplies. The possibilities to create for any occasion are absolutely endless. LOVE the sprinkles 💕💕💕💕 Thanks again, Kelly!!
Wow Kelly I absolutely love this idea💖 Its diffinetly a one of a kind gift. The best part is you can design it anyway you want and it's products from dollar tree $ .Thank you for sharing A Cute Easy Valentines💗Gift👍😉
Bless your ♥️, your always crafting for others. I am trying to organize my craft material because you have inspired me more than u know to do some crafting. I hope to get started with the dollar tree rugs with letters painted on them so I can finish and show you. Thank you and god bless. Oh yeah I LOVE 💗 these candles. The mason jars especially.
My friend used crayons to colour her wax for candles she made using tea cups for her daughter in-laws shower they turned out amazing and the pink was just perfect if you only use the white wax it might be a solution to make the pink candles.
OMGosh I absolutely ❤️❤️❤️ these candles. I never realized one can make their own candles at home so easily. Very happy I “bumped into” your channel. I liked, shared & am a recent SUBSCRIBER 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
can’t wait to do these this week! getting materials tomorrow! They’ll be for my secratary’s of the schools I sub at & 1 for my daughter for her college apartment! :)
I came back to this craft because I want to thank you for showing how to melt the top of the candle wax to fill in that gapping space by using a heat gun. I always had to save wax to pour onto the top and hope that the second pour would work and sometimes it would and sometimes it wouldn't and with the heat gun it saves me so much time and it gives me a perfect looking top to my candle so I wanted to come back to this craft to say a big THANK YOU.
I’ve been looking for a video like this!!! Thank you so much!!!! My candles always burn funny from the dollar store and it’s probably because they’re whipped like you said!!! I wanted to either use the left over wax or find a way to redo them before I burn them to add a little fun stuff like glitter, rose petals, pine needles from my Christmas tree (lol), Rosemary, things like that... make like an intention infused candle with good vibes and personal things that mean something to me. This is such a perfect way for me to do this!!! Also thinking about gifted some homemade positive energy candles too!!! You could melt different colors and make a layered colored candle by letting each color solidify before pouring the next one. Also any little things you want to add to it, I love the look of the melted glitter wax and little goodies like pretty rose petals or green pine needles showing in the wax when it burns.
VERY PRETTY KELLY! I WILL BE MAKING SOME OF THESE FOR GIFTS! SO EASY AND BUDGET FRIENDLY! TO ANSWER AIMEE...YES! I LIKE TO HEAR KELLY SAY 'STICK AROUND AWHILE BY CLICKIN THAT RED BUTTON' YES SHE IS REALY 'SO STINKIN CUTE!'
I bought four of those vases and thought what could I do with them besides putting flowers in them. I've had them in my kitchen cabinet for almost a month now. I'm thinking of making candles now. Lol Thank you for the idea. I haven't made candles since grade school. Wow so long ago. Your candles turned so beautiful. I just love them. You always do a great job dear.
Iv already tied this!!! Turned out super cute!

When you're wrapping your wick around the dowel rod, you can use a small crafting clothespin to hold it in place while you pour the wax. 😊
