A special thanks to Seafloor Games for sending me a free copy for review purposes!
I hope you will enjoy my review of Moonlight Pulse for the PC. A very charming teamwork-based metroidvania where you embark on a journey to save the life of a giant space turtle that you call your home! I tried to keep it as short as possible, but hopefully you will still get the full picture. Enjoy! - Ігри
Glad you enjoyed the game, thanks for the review!
You're very welcome, thank you for making a really enjoyable and charming game!
Great review. I love short games. I like the setting that seems very fresh and the art style looks dope. Cute little furry animal running around taking names. very cool
Thank you so much, Sandboxcode! Glad this one appeals to you, hopefully you will enjoy it when you have the chance to play it!
Great review! I also really enjoyed my time with the game, and I agree that the environments could have been more creative in places! Overall, a great metroidvania, especially if you're looking for something on the shorter side, length-wise!
Thank you very much! Awesome to see Seafloor Games also reached out to you! Time to watch your review now! ☺
I used to spend so much time looking for these gems.... This game looks interesting, thanks for the review. Just like the games you say should be getting more attention, i think the same goes for this channel. It's hard to find an honest game reviewer these days......
It's my pleasure, I really hope you will give it a try in the future and thank you so much for the lovely compliment! 😊
Although the game was a little east I absolutely loved biomorph. Great time
That's great!
I was gonna skip this as i'm not generally a fan of switching multiple characters or these sorta pokemon, sorta furry looking characters. But the environments look great and hearing that it's on the shorter side is a huge plus for me as i can always squeeze in a nice and short MV! Thanks a lot joy :)
Haha fair enough, glad to hear you are still interested! I hope you will like it, can't wait to hear your thoughts! It's my pleasure ☺
@@GamingwithJoy15 Damn i'm glad you convinced me to give it a try! I actually loved my time with this game, exploring the map was a ton of fun. And despite their sorta cartoonish designs i actually found the writing to give these characters a suprising amount of depth. I genuinly cared about each and every one, and i retried the final boss several times because i would not have one of them die! The character swapping mechanics worked suprisingly well especially since you played most of the game with around 2 of them which never felt overbearing or clunky. Even by the end i got used to the mechanic so much that switching between 4 of them was no issue anymore. I loved each characters' moveset, with sylex being my favorite followed by a tie between laguna and charlotte. The dog i didn't like as much but i appreciated how different he felt, as well as the insane DPS he did on bosses haha! Said bosses were indeed very creative and tons of fun to fight, even the regular enemies i found enjoyable. Unfortunately these enemies didn't give any rewards, which is the only major nitpick i have with this game. I loved everything else, the level design, the open endedness of the map, the visuals, the writing and the combat. It's nice and simple and while short still tons of fun!
That's really awesome, I'm so glad you gave it a try! Silex was my favorite as well because of his last unlockable ability, but Charlotte was a close second.
Yeah it's a shame you don't really get any experience from defeating enemies, but I guess completing the journal kinda rewards in you some way, so I didn't really mind it that much.
It really warms my heart to see you being so positive about this game, I really hope it will get more praise as time moves on!
Spoiler warning:
I was in real shock when the final boss actually killed two of my party members and the credits started rolling, I didn't think the game would go that far. I also replayed the final boss fight just so I got an happy ending, but I loved this ballsy move of the developer!
@@GamingwithJoy15 Even though it was a bit of a tone shift i still found it to be refreshing. Also the more you healed up the big turtle world the more time you have during the boss fight. As the attacks also dmg the world and if it drops to 0 you lose. Super creative final boss fight imo, and something that really ups the stakes!
I was wondering if you deleted my comment 😮? It's gone
No I haven't, I guess UA-cam just didn't save it. What did your comment say?
I know you play PC but if you could include all the platforms the game being reviewed is on. But if you don't I understand... Thanks
Ah okay, gotcha! I can put it in the description maybe?
Thanks, hopefully it won't be too much trouble. @@GamingwithJoy15
