I’m glad you liked the mini POF models so much it was a lot of fun designing and painting them. The drill bits are actually pieces of wire that I pressed notches into. Thank you for the shoutout. It’s always so great to see new and interesting designs doing well.
hell yeah imma cook up some furry fanart cause dang this bot is fire bro 🗣🔥 Edit: Also, have you ever tried using hot glue to keep the drill bits in place? I'm not an expert in robot making like this, but I thought about it and it MIGHT help
For this event I actually used Loctite on the drill bits and drill chucks, which is very similar to glue but has the additional benefit of being able to be removed with heat. The Loctite worked fine but I think the forces the bots were going through was just too much and I don’t think hot glue would do much better.
As always your bots are fun and effective! Really great job all around! I appreciate builder's that don't just try to run a min maxed spinner! That creativity adds a lot of fun to the competition.
What if you had the drill bit be a part of the shaft of the brushless weapon motor to make the weapon a bit more durable and reliable. It would also be lighter so maybe a heavier drill bit
I’ve actually had this idea suggested to me by other people and I really want to do it as it would solve basically all my problems with the drills. I ran out of time to do that for this event but I’m really looking into doing this exact thing for next time.
This is a great idea for the future and I was actually planning to do that something like that for this event but I ran out of time to get that figured out.
Great job honestly. This is such a joy to see everytime. Thank you for working so hard on your bots and bringing us along on the journey. Peck and Poke are winners always in my heart! ❤
These are awesome! I was so psyched when you checked out my bots, AJ and OJ (red and black with dustpan tails) even though they got cooked, i think the true multibot setup is going to be reinvented with the 2025 ruleset.
Thank you. It was great meeting you at the event. I’m always happy to see more true multibots and I really do like the design of AJ and OJ. I’m excited to see more of them in the future.
Awesome combat!! Really loved this video, and your commentary about both Peck & Poke and their opponents entering/exiting fights has really helped me understand a lot of combat robotics terms. :D One thing I noticed was the metal forks occasionally flipping downward, sticking into the floor and messin' with your driving- especially during the Pretty Fly fight. Is adding a second point of attachment through the forks to the TPU fork mount possible? That would stop them from moving so far out of place
Thank you very much. I’m happy I could help you out! Also as for the forks, I probably will do something similar to what you’ve suggested to make the forks more static and prevent them from sticking into the floor too much.
I feel like tPoF would do a lot better scaled up to a larger weight bracket. Just being able to mount a larger drill could help solve the two main issues of drill/bit getting knocked off and lack of "bite" when trying to drill.
Maybe try those flex axis couplers used in 3D printers to attach the drill bits? I'm not sure how those things are called, but in 3D printers they are usually to used connect the Z-axis stepper to the Z-axis screw. Just grind a flat spot to the motor axis and the drill bit, them clamp them into both end of one of those couplers. Maybe they also exist in a non-flex version. But I don't think the usual amount of "flex" in the flexible versions is enough to be a problem, so you can probably just use the regular "flex" version.

Great video, as always
That brutal attack on Mouse Mouse will go down in history 🤣🤣😭😭
Thanks. Drilling into Mouse Mouse was probably my favorite moment from the event lol.
Happy to see the Drilly Bois doing well! Keep up the good work!
I really enjoy these videos. That's for taking the time to put them together.
HELL YEAH, more Power of Friendship content!!! I'm so excited, these two are definitely my favorite combat robots.

This is gunna be so goooooooooood!!!!!!!
How about Carbon Fiber Drill arms? Then they wouldn't deflect when you drill and you can cut harder materials.
This is a great idea for the future and I was actually planning to do that something like that for this event but I ran out of time to get that figured out.
Another great video!
Never underestimate the power of friendship! Well done.

Ah, the non flex couplings are called rigid couplings. Well, duh!
So so fun!!! Great vid Kekoto- so happy to see the Jaaron screentime too💛💛💛💛
Thanks. Also Jaaron really came in clutch for this event. The Power Of Friendship wouldn’t have done so well without him.
I will be waiting for your next video ¦}
