I think Silver Feraligatr is the most fitting, the most perfect unit to come out of this. Especially since he's in his normal outfit, that means people that still want him and Sneasel/Weavile could be an SS. Plus I think that warrants more story since that's the Pokemon he stole from the kid, let's get more information from Silver and we can do that with a new outfit for him be it a seasonal or SS (be silly to see him in a Santa outfit with Sneasel lol). Vs Feraligatr doesn't need an expanded story, we know he had it from the shiny Morty event, Ethan having Typhlosion, and... this means a Feraligatr can work alongside Suicune which I love being my favorite water starter.
yeah I like that pair but it's anniversary level, Silver and Feraligatr is super hype so it's a bit of a waste to have him be just kinda decent and usable

A lot more story potential than with Feraligatr, like maybe we'll still get a day with Silver Feraligatr, to show him reflecting on stealing it in the same vein, but I wouldn't imagine as much vs stealing it from the scared kid. Although yeah it would've been nicer if it was at the very least a small event like Blue Arcanine, but those also might only be for gym leaders, and why Giovanni and Misty got different outfits it's their gym leader outfits.

Silver's team consists of sort of easy to obtain Pokemon besides the starter and Sneasel, so it's assumed that is the Pokemon he stole. There's also not many that fit that description, and suddenly the next battle with him he has Sneasel, which can only be obtained in GS and HGSS on Mt Silver, or route 28 which is the route that leads to Mt Silver (however in Crystal it is also in the ice cave). It's never explicitly stated, but it very likely he was the kid that took the prized Pokemon and it was Sneasel. However if this is manga Silver, then he's had it since he started his journey and after he was kidnapped as a child.

The stats are for level 150 so it might seem a bit high than usual. Also if the stat shows only for their 4 star level then it should be higher right. I like this Trainer Lodge feature a lot. Now I'm kinda hoping they release a bit lesser unit per month so we can grind the friendship level. Also kinda sucks we need to have the OG unit(the alts also don't count) to get these sync pairs but it does make sense ig.

These units aren't completely f2p because you need to have their original units to be able to invite them to the trainer lodge. For example, I have Palentine's Marnie but not regular Marnie (Marnie and Morepeko) and I still can't invite Marnie to the lodge and get Marnie and Toxicroak, you have to have their original units first. So they're still f2p, just not completely free.
Yeah, I’m missing Marnie, Cynthia and Lillie which sucks cause I wanted to get through everyone’s lodge things. I doubt I’ll be ever scouting Cynthia so :P
Kind of happy Blue got Executor of all things, not as hype as Silver Feraligatr, but still cool especially with my hopes of his sister Daisy getting in the game. Personally I want to see more minor characters like her, Fuji, Bill, and even NPCs like Joey from Johto and Charles the Heartbreaker. I think her having one of his vicious, monsterous, terrifying would eat you Pokemon like Tyranitar, Rhydon/Rhyperior, Arcanine before he did get it, or Gyarados would be perfect... because it's ironic, she's a dainty, loving, big sister that's happy smiles, cares about everyone, and a masseuse, it'd be hilarious and good fun, so him getting Executor not only makes sense but keeps that hope alive of Daisy with one of his Pokemon. ... however this also means we got 5 May, Lillie, and Blue alts, people good with that? Especially since Lillie could easily get another one during villain arc since she doesn't have an SS. Personally it's fine I just hope this next year more love is spread out to other units not just favorites, another reason why minor roles like Daisy would be neat and a breath of fresh air. Otherwise personally it doesn't bother me, I've come to accept this is possible, let's get crazy and give N a... Sigyliph lol I don't know why I can't stop laughing at that, it's so silly.

Cynthia is an interesting unit. You can check water types, especially special attackers. Hurting enemy speed in a consistent manner and potentially spreading confusion with her grid. Not the most straight forward in your face unit, but has a mix of treats.

Would be interesting if Rosas Dewott eventually evolved into a Hisuian Samurott to differentiate her from Hilbert, even if they don't necessarily need to. Same with Sycamore, instead of using Mega-Venusaur (although his research was focused on Mega-Evolution), he gets G-Max Venusaur. Otherwise though, I really like this as a way to get more Pokemon in the game, or more types in regions that otherwise have very few of those, like, I could definitely see Jasmine get a pair with Ampharos or Magneton as an electric-pair for Johto when she gets added to the lounge. More variety is always good, as are more ways to get free units.

ouf that sigilyph with N! gave me PTSD, That sigilyph wiped me twice in my Black nuzlocke.. No single pokemon ever took down 12 of mine but this guy, he did! It's a bit weird tho cuz he's supposed to be wild and agree with N, the point was that N recruited wild pokemons in his surrounding to fight for a cause they agreed with.. I don't think that Sigilyph would be fine with this..

Technically they aren’t all free. You need to have the corresponding unit (i.e. You need Cynthia and Garchomp to get Cynthia and Gastrodon)
But some of the base pairs are free, like Silver, Sycamore, Rosa, and Blue.
