Selecting a Grout Color for your Mosaic Art.

The application of the grout that fills the gaps between the tesserae is the final act of creating the mosaic. The grout can transform the separate pieces of tesserae into a unified, coherent design.
Grouting can be the scariest and most rewarding part of a project. As you stare at hours of work a million things spin through your mind. How do I figure out what color is the most asked question!
In this video Bonnie and Kim share some tricks to help you with making the best selection for your project. You can purchase grout from home improvement stores and tile distributors. We prefer polymer fortified sanded grout. There are many good brands on the market.
Grout is a cement-based mixture. The basic ingredients in grout are Portland cement, sand, and water, once mixed together a chemical hardening process begins. Grout has little adhesive properties and cannot be used to "stick" tiles in place.
