Azhagi is the story of Sundari (Viji Chandrasekhar), a 40-year-old widow, who has struggled for the last 20 years with the sole aim of bringing up her children all by herself. The story underscores how these vulnerable yet resilient widow battles the hardships life throws at her.

The show starred Viji Chandrasekhar, Kamal Deep, Soniya and Ilavarasan among others. It was produced by Vikatan Televistas Pvt Ltd for SUN TV and directed by V.C Ravi, A. Jawahar, E. Vikramadhithan and M.Iniyan Dinesh.
Sundari, a widow, raises her three children, Natraj, Mathi and Surya with love and support amidst several hardships. But, things turn bad in the family when Natraj gets married to a rich girl.
After 7 years, Azhagi returns exclusively on UA-cam in HD. Azhagi begins its journey on its 7th anniversary on Dec 24, 2018 at 10:00 pm, exclusively on UA-cam. Joining Thirumathi Selvam at 8 pm, Kolangal at 9 pm & Thendral at 9:30 pm on #VikatanPrimeTime, Azhagi picks up the slot at 10:00 pm , Monday to Saturday, starting 24 Dec 2018.
