Casey must feel so lonely and out of place in the past with this younger version of his family that is so much like them, but they're not, and they never will be. That must breed a special kind of loneliness, longing, and grief.

It made me cry. I have thought more than once about their future and every time it is very sad. Of course, there is a Cass Apocalypse AU where they eventually met and everything was fine, but in other ways the film didn’t show us what happened next. If there's ever a sequel, I really hope Casey gets his family back. His future family. 😢❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ But it’s beautifully drawn, well done to you for such hard work.
