Interview with Fatuma Gedi Ali, Kenya

Fatuma Gedi Ali is a Member of the National Assembly in Kenya. She is the current Women representatives for Wajir County. She has been a member of Orange Democratic Movement since January 18th 2013. In 2013, when she was 26, she vied for a women representative seat and she won to become the first women representative for Wajir county.
This interview was conducted in November 2017 in Ottawa, Canada, during the Inter-parliamentary Union's Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians.

Teach her how to do that. What makes her corrupt-- did she beat you or your clan mate in the election? Fatuma seems a politician with substance who should have a mentor in form of an older politician on how to move things in the parliament and the region.
The region she comes from is dominated by a political class that look after their stomachs. They give each other jobs and let the region to decaying in education and every facet of life. Why would people elect octogenarian and expect a better results ? Or the same corrupt politician who sits in his house in south C or South B instead of representing them?
