If you wana know what a 0 gram mouse feels like, put your hand into your mouse grip without the mouse and move it around like you are playing. It kinda sucks. Having some weight gives you a better feel and more control. I'd say something around like 30 or 40 grams at the lightest
@@redlionqc7276 well that depends, in a perfect world you want 0 grams and 0 friction between the mouse and the surface because in a perfect world you would have perfect control

For the mousecable this works best for me: the cable makes a slight righturn (like a questionmakrk) followed by a full lefthandcircle with 10-15cm diameter and goes under the cable coming from the mouse. The end is fixed on the table just by a weight for easy ajust. The cable coming of the mouse has less friction lying on the slope. I believe its because in tracking you are constantly making corrections, that's what tracking is and so the *CONSTANT* accelaration and decelaration will hugely preferable to mice with lower enertia i.e. lighter mice will be better at tracking but if you are moving a mouse from dot to dot to dot, as long as you don't miss and have to make a correction, it should make less of a difference but should still obviously make a difference as you do have to get the mouse moving in the first place. I think it all goes to show that although there's a lot of objectivity there's also a lot of personal preference. One thing I also notice is that makes the most difference is that the surface (or I guess both surfaces) don't effect flick scenarios but again seem to massively effect tracking, to the point that I prefer a table over cloth because I believe dynamic friction makes that much difference. Although the difference from table to glass, isn't as noticable amazingly, so maybe even if you want to save money, don't mind the noise and don't mind the likely consistency benefits of a glass pad, using a lower sensitivity say 40+cm per 360 over a massive table could be the way to go.

You need to use at least 8k dpi when using 8khz. The problem is i believe that sensor introduces smoothing above 2k dpi. If you don't use at least 8k dpi, the polling will be very unstable. The jittering you're experiencing is likely because the core that is designated for that specific usb hub is getting maxed out already. You need to use Interrupt Affinity Policy Tool to pin a specific core to the usb hub your mouse is connected to. Also you should not have multiple high polling rate devices on the same usb hub period. You do not need a different operating system, i have the razer 8k on my desk and i have not had any issues on any games (Fortnite, BF4, Rainbow 6 Siege, Minecraft etc). The stuttering could also be caused by a buffer overflow in the mousebuffer (i highly doubt it). If you need help you can contact me through discord and i can show you. I'm on Windows 10 and it works for all games I've played. Starlag-12 has extra fat input lag on top of the inconsistent 1000 polling rate btw. Razer 8k is objectively the best mouse in terms of latency, but wireless will never be as good as wired mice unfortunately. Wireless mice should stay in the office where they belong.
I can only get 1khz when i use a usb hub, have to plug it in to a 3.0 port directly to experience >1khz. Wireless freedom outweighs higher polling rate for me. Also i use 800 dpi cba to change
@@boardzy I know you use a lower dpi, but for review quality/experiencing true 8khz. I don't mean plugging in a usb hub. I mean the usbs which are on your motherboard already. Polling rate stability & having a smooth game experience is more important than using wireless. You should have more than one usb hub, set the others to core 4, and core 6. You should use a higher DPI (8k dpi) ideally to get the correct results. You should limit the amount of processes that take up CPU/RAM because this causes polling rate instability and hurts throughput of the system. Any power saving features in your bios should be turned off mostly because this typically has a latency penalty from having to switch out of a sleep state to a active state.
