I liked that...never really listened to them after Martin left to be honest. I am a big fan of the Levellers as well and these fit in between them and the old Skyclad. I shall have to listen to more tracks
Yes you should do this Neil!!..... the quality is still on an high level in my opinion.... kevin is awesome as singer.... and let's be honest.. the ongoing compare with martin is ridiculous.....Martin is Martin....and Kevin is kevin!! ( I mean that in general.. it's not against you)....and I'm happy about kevin! Listen to "A Semblance of Normality".... it's an outstanding album!!.... ok wait... that's all of their music!!😎... the passion for what they are doing is awesome!.... and I think everyone can see it in their eyes! The band is heartfelt honest.... A btw..... the new album is outstanding as well.... no questions about this!! I think I should come to an end... 😁 Take care Neil and cheers✌
@@cosmicthick When I listen to skyclad I want to hear Martin. Kevin does a good job, but it isn't Skyclad anymore, sounds like a different band. A brilliant band. But not Skyclad IMHO.
Just go and listen to for instance "Spinning Jenny" vs this. It is a completely different vibe. But I do appreciate the fact that Kevin took over - he had huuuuuuuge shoes to fill. And he had to have guts that nobody else had, since this band had a serious serious following. But in the end, it is just not Skyclad the band I got to know perchance and became my favourite band virtually overnight.
Wow, an amazing song. I can't believe I've panned Skyclad since they formed after the demise of Sabbat. I guess Folk Metal was way too different for me, being a traditionalist. I'll be listening to more of them from now on 😍😎🤘
I am a big fun of Skyclad , they are one of the first bands I started to listen to metal. I have seen them two live shows in Athens. But I have noticed something in that song (I wasn't heared it before). In 1:13 minute the melody of the violin is exactly the same with the song ''Fort Minor - Remember the name'' in other tone. :P
Still I miss Martin SO much. Just sentences like: "trapped in a world I no longer feel part of, each day is a thorn in my side." Martin was a genius. This song is like everything post-walkyier-era: it's ok. It is such a shame, the best band in the world seperated due to money,
"it's ok." Steve and Georgie and Graeme and Dave are still incredible. I'm glad they never disbanded. Don't get me wrong, Martin's lyrics and vocals made a HUGE impact, but the rest of the band deserves more credit.
2 Things : 1.Thank you for made my favorite song (ua-cam.com/video/Xf2aV8qFHVw/v-deo.html) of this album official video and 2. Thanx for starting this video with the bridge and the castle from my town. Greetings from Greece!
Can't get this out of my head for a few yers now. Thank you for this masterpiece.
That duelling guitar solo at the end... incredible
we love skyclad in greece come back as soon as possible!!!
It touches the deepest of the heart. Thanks.

Always thought the new Skyclad were too much like the Levelers, forgot the Metal bit in Folk Metal!

ThePhoenigs I agree! This band is just a political exercise now, no Martin no Skyckad!
"it's ok."

For me,this song is great! Beautiful music and lyrics. Yes,we all miss Martin but it was his decision to leave.
I was the biggest Martin fan but this is as good as any song Skyclad have ever written...
@@inezgriffiths8679 you didn't understand Martin lyrics at all then! Skyclad were the most punk/political band in the 90's!
In the old Martin times this song's tile would have been "Words flail me" :D
That's awesome dude! Also true
Only three albums in 20+ years after Martin.

I thought Martin Walkyier sang in this band... Is this not the right band??
No, it's the right band. Martin left Skyclad back in 2001 though.
Yes he left, and a we got a second rate pub band pretending to be Skyclad
Now just think how this would sound with a decent vocalist like.... I dunno?
Martin???
Much worse? Down with Walkyier.
Sorry, I'm afraid your an idiot
