When people sound that loud when walking, they are "heel walkers" They bang the back of their heel's down first when walking and it's actually something they can change as it is a bad habit. The sound they make when walking is exactly how you describe it. Sound like huge heavy people walking when it in reality can be a small skinny person. How is he hiring people in leading positions without checking their background? This is not even naive, it's just plain stupid. :/ Really hope it turns out positive for him though. It kinda hurts seeing him making these bad decisions over and over again. Although I don't know him, I really appreciate him as a person. He seems so genuine.

So, assuming his story was real, he should've just accepted his fate and be a doomer? What is your suggestion to this 16 year old? Saying "what you're doing is idiotic" without offering a solution isn't very productive, and I feel like new generations deserve more than being a waitress. If I could I would defiitely give all of them at least powerful gaming PCs and a workspace that they feel comfortable working in (whatever that looks like for them, be it a technological or traditional environment), so they can make money from their creativity. Jobs that require physicality will go away sooner or later (though that doesn't mean you can't shouldn't apply under any circumstances for one of them to earn some money for now).
If your suggestion was my last point, simply finding a basic job like being a waiter to earn a little bit of money for yourself and your family, that's fine, but saying it outright makes you sound far less like a douchebag.
