I compared it with Sony linkbuds and shotz openrun pro that I had. Sound quality is Sony. The fit was shotz, and the battery had good oladance. For outdoor use, it was convenient in the order of sony, shotz, and oladance. Crucially, the oladance had poor sound quality. The sound quality was good from Sony, but the Bluetooth connection was not good. I only have sony linkbuds now. The rest were sold second-hand.
Love the idea of these. I've been using the Aftershokz bone conduction because hearing what is going on around me is really important. Some of the trails I run on have mountain bikers, so using traditional ear buds just isn't an option if I don't want to risk something bad happening. Sounds like you think the sound was better than the bone conduction? Thanks for sharing!
Yes I think they sound better than the aftershocks I’ve tried. Mainly because I hate the “buzzing” sensation. I only wish these got a tiny bit louder. Full long term review will be coming. These are just a first look!
I have a set of these, waiting for the 2550mah charging case to arrive. I swear by these for all round quality safe usage. Earbuds have truly evolved with these true wireless stereo earbuds from Oladance. As I don't like buds poking into my ears, these are the ones I've been waiting for. And the comfort, great sound quality & 16 hour playback time are all amazing.
I use the Bose version, and appreciate being able to listen to music without sacrificing awareness. Glad to see a more affordable option available for all runners. The only drawback I’ve noticed is wind noises magnified. And the one question I always get asked is “Can you wear these with glasses?” I’ve found that not to be a problem. Another fun review. Thanks Dave.
I need to get my hands on the Bose version to compare but these sound surprisingly good given the fact they're not actually in my ear. And yes, they work fine with my Roka sunglasses! Thanks for watching!
I backed a pair a few days ago. Most earbuds don't fit in my ear and the ones that do often fall out anyway or pain my ears after a while. Furthermore, I gym quite a lot and I use my XM4, which can something fall of during exercise as well. This is a great way to have something that I can wear while working out and not have the issue of it falling out or paining my ears.
I literally have been fantisizing about the idea of headphones that dont go into my ears, are wireless and can be used for sport activities for months now. Thanks for showing this to everyone!
My dude! I was just listening to your Lew Later podcast in the car! Yeah these are pretty sweet for runners who want to be aware of their surroundings. Good to see some innovation in this space.
Nice! This isn't really a "review" more of a product overview because I haven't spent tons of time wearing them. That said, they seem pretty cool so far!
@@ChaseTheSummit I have tried so many pairs as I can’t get on with ones that actually go into the ear canal, like the new AirPods but they’re nearly double the price!
They look very interesting. I love that companies are thinking outside the box. I love my aeropex but my wife can’t stand the vibration. These might work for her.
I haven't had much experience with calls. This is just a "first look" sort of video. I plan on making a longer term review in the near future. Stay tuned.
I'm never going to go to Instagram, but I do support your channel. I also don't need earbuds, but it's awesome you are sharing a pair with a subscriber. Thanks for supporting the running community. I'm an average ultra runner, so your channel is great inspiration. I hope to run a 100 someday. Please keep sharing inspiring and useful videos! Super appreciated. 😃
Thanks as always for your videos! So what do you do for folks who don’t have social media & would like to be considered for the drawing? I know I am that guy but hey with a wife and five kids, just trying to spend that time with them! Plus getting in my miles when I can. Would definitely like to try something like that out. Please consider me. Thanks! Mike Allen
I dislike in-ear style earphones and Aeropex only OK in terms of sound clarity and catching ambient noise at the same time. These Oladance earphones look like a great alternative with long battery life! Appreciate you sharing info about these.
The product could be interesting, if only we had a real review, considering you can't even be bothered to look at the name of the product, it quite simply casts doubts on everything else.
These earbuds weren’t fully released yet so the ones I received had a name that differed from the actual product. Instead of hours of refilming and editing I decided to just publish a correction. This isn’t a review, just a “first look / overview” I may follow up with a longer term look.
I've been loving the Jaybirds. These Oladance buds are interesting but I still prefer the sound quality of in-ear buds. That said, these are great options if you want to hear more of your surroundings.
I've run with them a couple of times so far. They actually are surprisingly stable because most of the weight is on my ear rather than dangling from the canal. The sensation is something I need to get used to though because they do move/shift around a bit as you run but I haven't had one fall off yet. They're great because I can hear literally every little detail of my surroundings.
If you have reasonable expectations I think they're quite good. That said, this is a small speaker outside of your ear canal so it will never compete with an in-ear style bud.
i have been looking at those on Kickstarter and I am glad you were able to tell us how they work. I have to run in traffic at times so I am glad to have something available to hear the music plus hear your surroundings
Not a fan of earbuds due to the loss of awareness but this product seems appealing, would like your impressions about running with them and their connectivity to Garmin watches. Great initial review though. Sorry no comment on Instagram as this old runner is barely making it to UA-cam.
Down for your in depth review later, especially while the kickstarter is active. Appreciate the heads up!

Nice review. Am contemplating bone conductions for cycling and your review has me ranking Oladance at the top!
They're worth checking out! I think the only issue with cycling might be wind noise while you're riding since there will be nothing to block that out.

Are you still enjoying your Oladance
Curious to see what they're like to wear if you wear glasses, as I could easily see them not staying in place very well.
I haven't had issues with my Roka sunglasses. As long as the frames are somewhat thin it shouldn't be a problem.
These look interesting. Curious how well they would hold on the ear while moving.
They stay in place quite well on my ears but I think everyones ears will provide different results.
A wear test would be cool, like try them for a week- how did they feel, did the battery last as long as they say, etc.
For sure, this is more of a “first look” overview video. A longer term review will come further down the line. Thanks for watching.
Any body were can I buy this olandace wearable stereo earbuds?
Link is in the description. They're only on Kickstarter at this point.
Oh…wow. Really interesting thing. Wanna try it ^_^
For sure!
heeeeyyyy!!
Hi!
@@ChaseTheSummit nice for you to answer. On question, did the giveway finished or i have a chance to win?

There's a few out there. These ones are certainly unique and do the job quite well!

The Kickstarter campaign is over unfortunately. Now they're available for retail price.
@@ChaseTheSummit Oh, damn. they'll be good but I don't think they'll be $250 good.
Another fine video but your intro made me think: we need to see more ice climbing content on this channel!

Much more affordable than the Bose. The connection with the Fênix is reliable?
I've had limited testing with the fenix but they do connect and did play back audio for a run without issues.
Looks pretty innovative! I hope they sound as good as airpods or better!
I'd say slightly better than Airpods but not as loud.
