I'm not a college grad, I was just an airborne infantry grunt for six years. What I can tell you is that when I was 1/75th Ranger Regiment I had two outstanding leaders among a battalion of outstanding leaders, the absolute best. One was my PL and the other was my CO. Both were A&M Corps grads. One went on to the "black side" of things and one became a flag officer. In a place where West Point folks abound, it was these two A&M alum who stood out. They were just different.

So proud that my son will be a part of this tradition soon. Loved the reading of the Word of God to encourage the fish. I’m assuming that most of the fine young men and women in this video are now serving our great nation all over the globe. Thank you and Godspeed

It's a lot of work--physical, mental and emotional. But like training for a marathon, once you find your stride you will find the best you ever, inside of yourself. You will be set-up to succeed in life. It's not easy, nothing good ever is. Otherwise, everyone would be doing it and succeeding in life. You have to keep reminding yourself that even as you may be shouted at or made to do unexpected push-ups. But, it's so well worth it in the end. Best wishes for whatever you decide.

I'm currently enrolled in a Military Academy and want to go to Texas A&M and be in the Corps of Cadets. I know it's going to be tough where your a Cadet Leader and I will have to prove myself all over again.Getting screamed at and getting pushed is all part of the learning curve. If your not getting screamed at or nobody is constantly working you then you have a problem. I also enjoy playing the Trumpet I hope I can get to be in the Aggie Band. I love being in a Military environment I thrive on the pressure it makes me stronger. I have one more year before I can apply so until then I will continue to work hard and keep my grades up .I was offered an early acceptance to Boston College and the University of Massachusetts which is excellent for someone who is entering His Junior Year, however this is what I want and I'm going for it.

how do the cadet leaders deal with/manage a prior service/active duty service member that is now enrolled as a cadet? I know of active duty Marines approved for NROTC scholarships that have had issues of Mids being a bit "extra", knowing the Marines are in their unit. Especially mates that had already seen combat, and were reflecting, what the hell does this knucklehead think he/she is?
