Then they took the trauma over her decade of enslaved soldierhood and the fear over her impending death sentence and swapped it out for "I dont like wearing dresses wah", and presented these two struggles as being in any way equal.
Okay, hold up. Taash has a Mother that follows the Qun...but left the Qun. Taash can breathe fire but isn't a Saarebas/a Mage. Is Shathaan bio mom? Because the Qun believes the mother's job is done at birth, or is this some woman who took her away??? Also Iron Bull talked about roles and gender in the Qun and that being why he was so accepting of Krem. This makes no f*cking sense!
The last few games will be remastered and re-released with the appropriate lore. Or we just just blame Solas... when he opened all those rifts it subtlety the lore... or here's a thought... this is all a dream... and we got the special Desire Demon...

Started Veilguard, played for about an hour, and got really sad about how the magic of the series was so absent! Now playing Origins again- even with the primitive tech and sometimes janky combat, still a total pleasure. The art direction and dialogue/storytelling are top-notch. Played Inquisition a couple months ago in anticipation of Veilguard…also still holds up. I suppose it’s unrealistic to hope that Bioware will ever be able to get back to its roots… I suppose it’s up to Larian to carry the torch of rich story-based RPGs…
I watched a full walkthrough of this game. The action gameplay is good - no argue from me. But the dialogues are written as if the audience is incapable of conversations of a higher degree than ranting, whining, dropping one liners and remarks. No proper or even interesting conversations, depth of character or emotional engagement with the companions. Rooks dialogue options are rather bland as if the player is never meant to have strong opinions and convictions. What if I want to play as ruthless pragmatic, who does earn the respect of my companions, because I put the mission first. Even the resolute options are washed down to an inoffensive slush - easy to swallow. Lets take Taash as an example: What about telling her, that she should stop crying about her gender and the role a female is supposed to fulfill under the Qun. We are about to save the world from corrupt would-be gods! They dont give a shit about her pronouns or her masculine behavior (which I do not mind, if it havent been written so pathetic). WE NEED A BADASS FIRE-BREATHING DRAGON HUNTER, WHO DESTROYS HER ENEMIES, SEE THEM DRIVEN BEFORE HER AND HEAR THE LAMENTATIONS OF THEIR WOMEN/MEN! Instead...this 😮💨
