omg yes, and I worked with him on Admission movie before - he was wearing layers in 90 degree weather for the Fall scene (we were all melting) and never heard him complain once
I love that Stephen introduced Paul as "my friend and yours". Paul is so affable, genial, and unfailingly nice that he genuinely does feel like a friend, and I've never even had the pleasure of meeting him. He just has such friendly vibes. We should all aspire to be as nice as Paul.
My mother worked with his dad while employed at TWA in KC. As a young kid, Paul would come in to the office every-so-often. We share the same first name. I was teaching Physics in the Shawnee Mission District when Paul was at SM West as a student. Chiefs fan since 1963. 🏈

Tbh I know exactly how Paul felt. It's just a gut wrenching feeling watching the game. But that elation at the end if your team wins. I've never shouted so loud inside my house as I did when Mecole Hardman caught that pass in overtime.

As a member of Chiefs Kingdom since birth, I'm not allowed to watch televised games. I've watched in the past and every time they've lost. So I now have to get score updates from family and watch highlights. We are very superstitious.
I’m the same. Plus, it causes me too much stress. I just try to keep myself occupied, occasionally feeling like I’m gonna vomit, while I wait for a text to finally come, to tell me whether they won or not.

As a Chiefs fan I can attest, I have absolutely no fun watching the games. I get way too intense. I missed most of the 4th quarter and overtime because I was too stressed to look at the screen and instead waited to hear my husband's reaction to stuff to decide if I wanted to watch the replay. The experience of watching a Chiefs game as a fan has been best summed up to me via a meme I saw which was essentially

Chiefs fan for longer than Paul Rudd. I remember the Chiefs’ victory in Super Bowl IV. At one time I could have told you the course of progress of every 1969 game. And my experience was just the same. Anxiety…fear…dread…until we won. You want tension? The Chiefs won their first playoff game that season against the Jets 13-7. To win that game, they had to mount a goal-line stand in which the Jets had four shots to punch it in from the one. And the line held.
My current superstition greatly reduces my stress, though. I’m convinced that if I watch the game, the Chiefs will lose. So I ignore the game while it’s played, then check the score and go back over every play.
