Definite. That opening riff is very similar to "..roam"...but seems to fit nicely
I agree, first time I heard this song I thought the exact same thing. Probably because VolBeat (especially Michael) likes Metallica, pretty sure they used to tour with Metallica as well. VolBeat also played Enter Sandman with Lars Ulrich (Metallica's Drummer) before.
The Riff on the song Say No More on this album reminds me of Metallica's Eye of the Beholder

What makes Volbeat different from everyone else is the simple fact that while they sound metal, they are really playing rock and roll. Newer metal music almost always falls short for me because it would seem that the Low E is dropped and the riffs sound like fingers flopping to a rhythm. Today's bands all just imitate one another. I discovered Volbeat purely by accident while trying to figure out if my buddy was playing drums with the Georgia Satellites (he says it wan't him, but I'm not sure I believe him). I saw Volbeat did a version of Battleship Chains so I checked it out.....3 WEEKS later I'm still on a Volbeat deep dive. I am 54 years old, and a professional musician myself and I'm gooning on Volbeat like I'm a 13 year old kid. I don't find myself judging the players or the parts like I would typically do. I can simply be a fan of this band because it's honest and from the heart. The singing is great and Rob Caggiano is playing guitar hero worthy parts and solos. I look forward to your return to the USA hopefully as the headline act. Make sure to include St. Louis please.

@@TheGeishakuula I understand what you mean, because when I first heard this latest CD and the one before it (Rewind Replay Rebound), I didn't fall in love with them right away like I had the previous releases. But, I hung in there and kept playing them, and each time I appreciated each song more. Not gonna lie and say these later releases aren't more smoothly produced and radio friendly, but there is a soul in there if you give them a chance. And a rocking, kick-ass, old school metal heart too!

Most underrated band in Rock IMO. Caught then on the Ghost/Volbeat tour in 2022. Went to see Ghost but VOlbeat smeshed. Ghost can play dress up all day but I havent stopped listening to Volbeat for 2 weeks now
