Some 20 years back, this exact version of the song used to be regularly played on our local tv channel. That channel was called Jukebox, i think. Everyone in the city would be calling the channel's only phone number. It was never easy to get through, but once you did, you were greeted with different folders of music from different languages. You'll be navigating through these folders like you would on your computer and this was live on your tv using the phone's dial-pad as input. And whenever the English folder was selected, this song used to get picked almost all the time. It was either this or some song by Savage Garden. Am sure that tv station had all this music illegally, but back then in India, nobody cared much for copyright laws when it came to western content. For those of us who didn't have access to the internet to keep ourselves up to date with the world music, this channel was a boon, our own version of UA-cam.
Yes, this exact version. Because I remember when the song is played again on the song after the drums, the bearded artist would do single beats on the drums. The other versions are amazing as well, but have been searching for this version, just for the sake of perfect nostalgia :)
This never gets old. Such talent and beautiful sisters. I didn’t realize Mick Fleetwood was playing the drums until now. Proud of my Irish family on my grandfather’s side. I would love to visit Ireland one day.
The look on Sharon's face when she realises there is absolute stunned silence in the audence... That's musical magic. I named my daughter Sharon after having seen this piece multiple times.
On my way to watch The Corrs tonight. This song has been my ringtone since my first cellphone that can play a song as ringtone and pray with all my might that they play this song tonight. Super excited!
18 years ago my baby sister used to dance around the house to this. I had to constantly play it over and over again. Today, she asked me what this song was so she could have it played at her wedding. It's amazing how much we remember when it comes to music, I'm just glad I got her into true talent like this...I'll be able to tolerate the music at the wedding because of it.
sorry to be off topic but does anyone know a way to get back into an Instagram account? I somehow forgot the account password. I love any assistance you can offer me
@Adriel Marley Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site on google and im trying it out now. Takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
Es una tierra llena de historia y un país muy vibrante y pujante, Dublin es preciosa, Cork excelente sitio, me faltó Belfast, un país con músicos increíbles. En verdad vale la pena visitarlo.
True story or family legend? No idea, but makes for a nice story. Papa Corr was teaching all of his kids' classical piano, and then a local priest started offering violin lessons. A very young Caroline was the one chosen by mom & dad to take up violin, but the priest's fuzzy beard scared her. Six-year-old Sharon decided she wanted to do it, and the rest is, as they say, history.
The music that ive looked forward on October 2023 here in Manila because THE CORRS IS COMING BACK🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺 IM BEING SOOOOO EMOTIONAL IVE WAITED THIS FOR SO LONG ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😩
I discovered The Corrs around a couple of years ago. I started to learn this tune and Toss the Feathers on the fiddle. Been playing fiddle for about 45 years and it was fun to learn new music. But my wife passed last October and all of my instruments with the exception of one guitar, my wife's lap steel and one small amp are all in storage up in Maine. Haven't seen them in a year, Miss my fiddle because it was a show stopper/crowd pleaser. Some day I will get them back. Love this music, it gets you up and dancing.
I'm very sorry for your loss, Paul. I hope you get the fiddle back. And I agree, this music does get you up and dancing, especially this time of year as we get into the St. Paddy's Day season.
I met this woman on her solo album tour in California, usa. So respectful and kind, The whole family is like this. 4 pics with me, and a hug. Family in limerick, soon to be there.
This is pure talent at it's finest how could anyone not like this i could listen to this all day long I remember hearing these violins played by the courts back in the 90's
For some reason I consider the live versions of The Corrs' songs to be more catchy and compelling as a whole. And this is a good evidence of it. Especially since you'll hear Andrea's tin whistle more clearly here. This version should've been released officially as a single or been put on an album.
I have the same feeling, especially with 'Toss the Feathers' from the MTV-unplugged album: both that version and other live versions I heard so far beat (with distance) the studio-version which feels 'static' to say the least. Biggest difference is that the album-versions almost never contain any solo's and if they are there, it's far shorter then live. Love the editing done by the director as well: he clearly understands the music and what he can do with the image.
Late reply...true the live versions were way more lively . That's why it's more exciting and fun to watch them live...their interactions and energy and passion on stage transmits
Cette musique est tout à la fois triste et joyeuse, c'est là tout le paradoxe des balades Irlandaises (en fait je parle de la première partie). Une famille formidable, de grands musiciens doués et talentueux
This is magical. Why so few views? Can't believe everyone has the DVD of the concert.Thank you, silentlyclosed, for uploading this. Possibly the best of the many great bands to emerge from Ireland over the last forty years, though fans of the Pogues may disagree.
I would love to see this group, including Mick Fleetwood tour North America! Mick looks like he is really into this song and this group. Granted, this video was produced in 2000, but still, a fan can dream, no?

Ohhhh nostalgia! Haste to the wedding being played in Jukebox. ❤

Bless you Dear!!!🇨🇮🇺🇲💚🍺✌️🤟🍀
Gone are the days that produced artists like the Corrs, what a shame!

You will.😁
Lovely country.
You would be very welcome.

you surely will!
Aww Sharon has a rare gift with that violin. Beautiful.

This is pure talent at it's finest how could anyone not like this i could listen to this all day long I remember hearing these violins played by the courts back in the 90's
This family is sooo talented! :)
Love them xx
irish know how to play and party, that is for sure.
To make a violin cry with such a feeling of hope can touch a heart. It helps me find the love I have for my family and friends
Having just returned from a big family wedding, we had The Corrs 'Haste To The' on high rotation! It created just the right atmosphere.
Anytime getting to listen to Sharon solo on the violin is always a treat!
the way she plays the violin.. and her expressions ... her eyes speaks her emotions.. bigg tym fan of this family .... :)
The sound of the violin is beautiful.
The Corrs are very gifted artists !

this video is The Corrs: Live at the Royal Albert Hall

I'm a month from my wedding and thinking about this song. So hard to choose

Cette musique est tout à la fois triste et joyeuse, c'est là tout le paradoxe des balades Irlandaises (en fait je parle de la première partie). Une famille formidable, de grands musiciens doués et talentueux
