In 2001, my wife and I bought a (yes, a singular) Nokia 3310. It was almost $400 out the door with a sim card. We were excited but frustrated at the same time because that was simply incomprehensible amount of money for a Middle Eastern family. But hey, it’s still in my drawer and yes it still works. This foldable with all the new features is almost as expensive when adjusting for inflation than our Nokia lol.
What would be really cool is if the company allows a phone widget in the form of a vintage rotary dial on the outer circular display that enables us to dial numbers the old-school way. That would make me want to dial a lot of numbers that way instead of going into the phonebook 😄
The styling alone on my Razr 5G makes it hard to step away from it. I like foldables specifically because they're "different" and now that they look (at least for the most part) so similar, I find little reason to upgrade as of now
Honestly the chip in that thing is grotesquely underappreciated. 765 powered the LG velvet, the LG wing, the pixel 5.... It was really such a great ship for having affordable 5G. Reasonable thermals to this day on the phones I still use with it

Cool that they’re making strides towards making folding phones cheaper. Would love to see that happen to the ones that fold out into a tablet rather than into a normal phone though, I can already fit a normal phone in my pocket so I have no reason to want to fold that in half This gives me hope that perhaps some day budget folds will retail for less than flagship slabs though. In the meantime I’m eying the Z Fold 5, might be worth paying up to get in on it a few years earlier
If you're trying to pronounce the German "ü" sound for the "u" in "Ulefone", known as the [y] "close front rounded vowel", this is how you do it. Pronounce the "ee"/"ie"/ [i] sound while pursing your lips like you're making the "oo"/[u] sound. The resulting sound will be the mishmash you're looking for.

Considering the price of a new Galaxy Z Flip 4 is in the range of this Tecno I'd be hard pressed to look down this road. However lowering the entry level MSRP for flip phones is something we should all rejoice. Despite mid-range now somehow being 600$...

Tecno is a good Sub-Saharan African brand... The problem is, their flagships (and upcoming midrangers) LACK software updates. Tecno doesn't support their devices with more than a year's worth of software/security updates.
For an affordable price I'm loving the outer display ❤. The price is unbeatable and the combine foldability is enough to command satisfaction. What's to complain about ?😊. And the crease is near invisible like so close to invisibility. Amazing! 👍🏾. And the added front flash is crazy and wonderful 👍🏾. Kudos to Tecno Phantom for their cheap, affordable version of a innovative flip phone. 😎💯💯💪🏾👍🏾
I live in a "less developed country" and every time I go to the tech shops I see workers there trying their best to sell people Tecno phones. Recently I decided to check one for myself and god they're so bad. Even though their phone had 8GB of RAM it worked so much slower than some 3-4GB Nokia or Samsung models. I dont know what they're doing with their OS skin to have this.
Here, in Australia, you can get a Moto Razr 40 for $990 (AUD) which makes roughly $645 (USD). So, the Phantom V doesn't have such an "affordable" price.

They are sold in africa and parts of asia. They are really big there but these "cheap phones" come with allot of tracking you and advertising baked in. Even thought nobody talked about it now... if you search good on the internet you will find articles about it. They do it to cut down on the selling price..

Well the normal razr40 is around the same price in india as this phone. So motorola allready does make a cheap foldable.... these prices are just recalculated from there india price without taxes, importcost, sellers etc counted in.... in Europe you always pay more for a phone because of taxes and special laws. I don't think this phone has a ce label which it needs to sell in Europe. Putting this label on a box/product cost money and most of these company's don't want to spend it on the label and that's why they don't sell outside there allready big market of africa and asia
I saw this phone in some places and it's good, except for its software and (un)surprisingly, hinge. Every displayed unit of Tecno Phantom V Flip lost its ability to open to full 180 degrees, it was always a little bit lanky
yes but folding phones didn't become acceptable until the 3rd gen, for example the Z Flip 1 and Z Fold 2 had significant durability issues that were later fixed in the 3rd generation, such as screen durability or water resistance
In my opinion its a no go, to build just a 5.0 Bluetooth in a new midrange Phone. 5.2 was a big consumer oriented upgrade and is a must have. And the chip is also very slow…
