I would also like to add that chaotic may be constantly trying to finish molting which is why he can do more with frenzy. This is also another reason why he is more dangerous as the nutrients it takes too molt would make him hyper dangerous and hungry.

That cutscene really made me feel bad for Chaotic Gore Magala. It really tugs on the heart strings and makes you want to just put the thing out of its misery. It would honestly be kind of criminal to capture this monster.
That was a point of amusement to me as well, how Chaotic is the new wow-so-tough DLC despite coming after Shagaru who fundamentally is a more powerful monster. The basis of it, I'd say, comes down to the fact that Chaotic's utter lack of control and wild struggles in what is essentially drawn out death throes leads to more obvious displays of power. Since the creature is rabid and no longer considerate to its own safety or sustainability, Chaotic just unloads all it can onto foes, withholding nothing because it really has nothing to lose. Compare that to Shagaru, a full-fledged adult, in perfect control of its physicality and abilities, who understands the need for restraint. Shagaru is already so strong that it hardly needs to exert its full potential. It can concentrate and focus its attacks precisely, avoiding fully expending its energy whilst still asserting its impressive strength. Besides, it at least gives Chaotic some moment of glory before, most likely, it's outstripped by Risen Shagaru.

Maybe it´s also how their population keeps itself in check. Since shagarus have no real equal in the wild that could take them on.

Lore wise if I recall, Chaotic lost control of the frenzy, it spreads really uncontrollably so we are sent to hunt them. Thats also a reason for their agony. The loss of the control over frenzy slowly kills him. So lore wise the reason he is so powerful he both takes out his anger and agony on everything and his Frenzy is literally out of control.

Then, like the Pukei-Pukei in Gerald’s quest in World, the grateful monster could help you later on. It could bring you items after the rescue quest, let you ride it, and maybe even join you in battle. Edit: I want to specify that this would be a kind of quest that you can take alongside regular hunting and capture quests. It's not a replacement. Since people actually seem interested in this idea, I will elaborate further on it: Rescue quests would probably work best in an open world title, which we likely will get in the next generation or so. That's because being able to ride monsters would be most useful when you have open skies to fly through, wide lands and mountain terrain to traverse, and wide rivers and deep lakes to swim. During a rescue quest, once you save your mark a different large monster will come and try to kill the monster you saved. You two work together to defeat the intruder, solidifying your newfound bond. Once unlocked, the monster can be found in the locale its quest took place in and you can recruit it there. When you leave that locale, it will stay behind, forcing you to find another one of the monsters you save and recruit it in whatever locale you find it in. These are individual monsters. You're not befriending an entire species. However, with monsters that have lackeys, like the Dromes and Greats, you also get the cooperation of said lackeys. After you save your inevitable Rathian, her mate, the inevitable Rathalos, will pull an Uno reverse card and rescue you in a different quest. After being shown compassion after spending the plot being a nuisance, the inevitable flagship will accompany you to inevitable elder dragon final boss. It will likely be the only way you can get to the final boss' arena, as maybe only it can fly high enough, or dive deep enough, or has the strength to overcome the obstacle blocking the way. In a way, the flagship becomes a sort of main protagonist itself. If you finish a quest with one of these friendly monsters, it will come to your house and give you one of its items for free.
Cool idea I could see it in a stories game but who would put a quest to save a monster in the main line series and not kill it also not all monsters are as nice as puki puki

Pukei was in danger and we freed it, and since we fought against the one who captured it, Pukei fought with us. Leshen's death helped it live a safer life. Like how some wild animals can save children and not kill them.
I kinda feel pity for Chaotic Gore Magalas to be honest, because all they want is to die than to live with agony that will never cease until it kills them.
I like how chaotic has more Advanced frenzy blast patterns then Gore and yet rarely uses a beam unless it's that grab attack. That detail shows it has more power than Gore but still is a step behind Shagaru.
I like to think chaotic gore's power comes from the fact it sets itself on a ticking bomb. Instead of fully harnessing the frenzy like shagaru, it just straight infects itself, sending it into a complete senseless rage until death. It's actively burning every muscle in its body; whether you kill it here or let it stay loose, it's not long for the world, but at the end of the day, it's still a problem. Idk, that's just been my interpretation, but it is odd how shagaru and chaotic feel close in power when chaotic should definitely lose out, all things considered.
The amount of absurd stuff this update gave us in just this video (berserk, strife, the Chaotic weapons, the ability to make your specific talismen), it's just giving this one thought: The next Title Update is going to kill us, isn't it?
Chaotic Gore Magala was my first hunt after not playing for over a month. It was a really fun and intense fight. He really had some cool attacks to mix things up. I was amazed that I managed to beat him without carting. I even got the contrary scale on my first hunt for him.
It’s meant to be well telegraphed. Which is tough for most skill based counters but makes him much easier in general. I can’t wait to get an afflicted version of him. Then he’d be a real threat
I think the reason chaotic gore is more powerful than shagaru and normal gore is because of the combination of shagarus immense amout of frenzy and the control it has over it (like firing a beam of pure concentrated frenzy) and the unrefined skill that gore has with frenzy which combines into a gore magala with way to much frenzy that he cant control aswell as being in intense misery on top of it all
Usually when something is in pain and put in a corner, the more dangerous and aggressive it would be, doing things that are unpredictable or unprecedented for it or it’s species. So it being far more dangerous then Gore makes sense, but not Shag. Honestly his AI should be actively far more aggressive and have no interest in running away

Something I realized about Chaotic Gore Magala: He has effectively been driven completely insane from the Frenzy Virus, because it's growing in power faster than he can control it. The end result is that this poor animal is in constant, searing agony. This hunt is a mercy kill.
Yeah..that Frenzy Nova Bomb near instantly puts people in negative frenzy..but I swear one of my hunts it managed to corrupt my freshly overcome frenzy (I use bloodlust so I don't have to seek out frenzy puddles) and force it to the negative variant
Chaotic if you think about it has a Moon Knight complex going on, his mind is always in 2 & are outcasted in their lives, Marc deviated from the military to become Moon Knight/Steven was fired from his museum position due to his Moon Knight encounter & Chaotic was smitten from grace by a nearby Shagaru. Heck, Moon being Moon is a taxing form for Marc/Steven, parallel to Chaotic being a powerful yet a miserable form of Gore
I always figured that as Gore got older it started generating more energy and frenzy than it could deal with. As it sheds and morphs into Sagaru it noticably bulks up and has better control over the frenzy virus. If it gets interrupted it can't fully morph but it still has the increased energy of Sagaru. This causes Chaos Gore to all the power of Shagaru but none of the control. It seems so much more powerful because it doesn't have a filter on its power, it's just always on full blast. But that sheer amount of power is extremely painful for it to hold so it thrashes around.
its more like gores violent, unpredictable rage aplified by his pain and agony as well as being blind, comboes with the insane augmented strength of almost being a fully matured shagaru, even if he isnt. hes still got a ton of power with a vicious, ravenous, desperate fury that nothing can end and thats why its so dangerous. it doesnt stop until its fury and agony stops and while it lives that will never happen
So fun fact about both skills At base health against afflicted monsters(lv120) With berserk active you take no actual damage aside from the health drain from berserk(and blood blight because you got hit by an afflicted monster) simply put your invincible to everything but DoT(Damage over Time) statuses(fire,poison,and blood)
I always thought Chaos was far more dangerous than shagaru lore wise, because they were far more violent. They weren’t as powerful but more apt to go out and find stuff to kill. As opposed to gore who is just trying to eat, and Shagaru that’s just trying to reproduce.

Gore Magala attacks a Goss Harag in his intro. Shagaru Magala destroys both Seregios and Barioth in his intro. Chaotic Gore gets to fight Bob. Poor Bob. Also would Chaotic Gore become Afflicted or Risen under the influence of Qurios? Or both? His Shagaru parts become Risen and the Gore parts get Afflicted.^^
he would if anything be afflicted, he FAILED to become Shagaru, his "shagaru parts" are still just fundamentaly Gore magala undearneath. He can be captured etc.

I’d imagine the difference between chaotic and the other two Magalas is similar to why black diablos is considered a greater threat than regular diablos, but on a larger scale since it’s an elder
The full immunity to all damage when in Berserk Mode pairs really well with dual blades and the Furious skill. And if you hunt afflicted monsters then bloodblight only lets you stay longer in Berserk Mode.
How do they synergize? If I'm remembering correctly they essentially do the same thing in giving temporary infinite stamina when in blue scroll, so if anything it's useless to have both

@@kingofflames738 I took a quick look at the armors and furious is on the head, arms and legs meanwhile berserk is on the arms and legs, so unless one gets lucky with qurious crafting they can only have 1 point in berserk with two in furious or 2 points of furious and 1 in berserk
The new armor they added is so broken I never knew I could do this much damage with duel blades until they added this the damage is insane and I just realize this is title update three we got two more coming
The reason why Chaotic is higher than even Shagaru is because a Chaotic Gore has reached the point it is ALMOST a Shagaru but has been stalled from molting it's final shell. So it's basically at Shagaru's level but driven mad
What do you mean by “cannot die.” Do you not take damage or do you end with 1 health. If so, would getting hit put you at one health the strife kills you immediately or does it deactivate when you reach 0 health making it act like guts?
It means you straight up do not take damage while you have red health. It'll decrease fairly quickly, but for the 10-20 seconds you have Red Health before it kills you, you are invincible. Still get knocked back, stunned and whatnot, but you do not take damage from anything except Berserk's health drain.
I think there's one thing about Chaotic that barely anyone mentioned: If you broke its Gore feeler, it stays up instead of retracting. The thing lost so much control of its body that the feeler didn't even bother to retract like it's supposed to.
5:05 I hate to break it to you but a broken leg is pretty much a death sentence for a horse. With they way thier bodies are built and how heavy they are they can't survive with one leg out of commision like a cat or dog would. Also the recovery process is really bad so it's much more humane to euthenise them. They have to be hung in swings, there is also the psychological part of isolating a herd animal.
I like that you can take NPC hunters on most master rank hunts now. It's great for people like me who don't have regular access to internet and have to play solo. Hopefully they can do something similar with base Rise using Kamura characters.

And so getting hit by monsters causes you to lose red health instead of gree-... Wait... that's not actually how it works.. From "Fenzy Blade Goss Harag" in the Gore Magala Proob, thought of Frenzy Fruit Bishatan, Frenzyfang (unoriginal) Barioth and Frenzy Scale Steve. Those 4 should get variants that work similar to Apex (4U) monsters, keeping the threat level and having mastered the virus to their own attacks.
My headcanon, at least for this version of Chaotic, is that he's extra strong because he's frenzied himself. He's in a vulnerable state, so the Frenzy takes a hold, and does its thing. That would explain the pain, extra glow, and the added strength

I kinda feel pity for Chaotic Gore Magalas to be honest, because all they want is to die than to live with agony that will never cease until it kills them.
Shagaru used to be my favorite with Chaotic being third place but the Chaotic Gore Magala fight was so well done that it's now my new favorite

I like how chaotic has more Advanced frenzy blast patterns then Gore and yet rarely uses a beam unless it's that grab attack. That detail shows it has more power than Gore but still is a step behind Shagaru.
One way to explain it is: it has the power of shagaru, but after failing to fully evolve physically, all the stored energy is causing it immense pain
I like to think chaotic gore's power comes from the fact it sets itself on a ticking bomb. Instead of fully harnessing the frenzy like shagaru, it just straight infects itself, sending it into a complete senseless rage until death. It's actively burning every muscle in its body; whether you kill it here or let it stay loose, it's not long for the world, but at the end of the day, it's still a problem. Idk, that's just been my interpretation, but it is odd how shagaru and chaotic feel close in power when chaotic should definitely lose out, all things considered.

Chaotic Gore Magala was my first hunt after not playing for over a month. It was a really fun and intense fight. He really had some cool attacks to mix things up. I was amazed that I managed to beat him without carting. I even got the contrary scale on my first hunt for him.

I have a really hard time landing my Metsu Shoryugeki against this guy. The mix-ups and delays during most of his attacks somehow always get me.
His moveset just feels very random and chaotic. No pun intended
It’s meant to be well telegraphed. Which is tough for most skill based counters but makes him much easier in general. I can’t wait to get an afflicted version of him. Then he’d be a real threat
I think the reason chaotic gore is more powerful than shagaru and normal gore is because of the combination of shagarus immense amout of frenzy and the control it has over it (like firing a beam of pure concentrated frenzy) and the unrefined skill that gore has with frenzy which combines into a gore magala with way to much frenzy that he cant control aswell as being in intense misery on top of it all
Usually when something is in pain and put in a corner, the more dangerous and aggressive it would be, doing things that are unpredictable or unprecedented for it or it’s species. So it being far more dangerous then Gore makes sense, but not Shag. Honestly his AI should be actively far more aggressive and have no interest in running away

Something I realized about Chaotic Gore Magala: He has effectively been driven completely insane from the Frenzy Virus, because it's growing in power faster than he can control it. The end result is that this poor animal is in constant, searing agony. This hunt is a mercy kill.
This one was surprisingly the hardest for me with his combos
I also love frostfang barioth. Josh is just jealous that a monster he hates got an upgrade and was a possible candidate to bring into sunbreak

Yeah..that Frenzy Nova Bomb near instantly puts people in negative frenzy..but I swear one of my hunts it managed to corrupt my freshly overcome frenzy (I use bloodlust so I don't have to seek out frenzy puddles) and force it to the negative variant
With me it also gave negative even when i had the immunity effect.
Chaotic if you think about it has a Moon Knight complex going on, his mind is always in 2 & are outcasted in their lives, Marc deviated from the military to become Moon Knight/Steven was fired from his museum position due to his Moon Knight encounter & Chaotic was smitten from grace by a nearby Shagaru.
Heck, Moon being Moon is a taxing form for Marc/Steven, parallel to Chaotic being a powerful yet a miserable form of Gore

I like the fact that gore has cool frenzy then shagaru has frenzy beams and chaotic has beams and a frenzy nuke
I always figured that as Gore got older it started generating more energy and frenzy than it could deal with. As it sheds and morphs into Sagaru it noticably bulks up and has better control over the frenzy virus.
If it gets interrupted it can't fully morph but it still has the increased energy of Sagaru. This causes Chaos Gore to all the power of Shagaru but none of the control. It seems so much more powerful because it doesn't have a filter on its power, it's just always on full blast. But that sheer amount of power is extremely painful for it to hold so it thrashes around.

its more like gores violent, unpredictable rage aplified by his pain and agony as well as being blind, comboes with the insane augmented strength of almost being a fully matured shagaru, even if he isnt. hes still got a ton of power with a vicious, ravenous, desperate fury that nothing can end and thats why its so dangerous. it doesnt stop until its fury and agony stops and while it lives that will never happen
Would have been really cool if chaotic had several alternate looks to make him feel a little different each time considering what he is

At base health against afflicted monsters(lv120)
With berserk active you take no actual damage aside from the health drain from berserk(and blood blight because you got hit by an afflicted monster) simply put your invincible to everything but DoT(Damage over Time) statuses(fire,poison,and blood)
I always thought Chaos was far more dangerous than shagaru lore wise, because they were far more violent. They weren’t as powerful but more apt to go out and find stuff to kill. As opposed to gore who is just trying to eat, and Shagaru that’s just trying to reproduce.

Gore Magala attacks a Goss Harag in his intro. Shagaru Magala destroys both Seregios and Barioth in his intro. Chaotic Gore gets to fight Bob. Poor Bob.
Also would Chaotic Gore become Afflicted or Risen under the influence of Qurios? Or both? His Shagaru parts become Risen and the Gore parts get Afflicted.^^
I can easily see them justifying there not being a Risen/Afflicted version by saying the Qurio just flat-out kill it at that point.

I’d imagine the difference between chaotic and the other two Magalas is similar to why black diablos is considered a greater threat than regular diablos, but on a larger scale since it’s an elder

The full immunity to all damage when in Berserk Mode pairs really well with dual blades and the Furious skill. And if you hunt afflicted monsters then bloodblight only lets you stay longer in Berserk Mode.
How do they synergize? If I'm remembering correctly they essentially do the same thing in giving temporary infinite stamina when in blue scroll, so if anything it's useless to have both
@@erik_verastegui Berserk gives you full immunity to damage. Only the health drain can kill you. Furious gives you infinite stamina. Neither do what the other does.

@@kingofflames738 I took a quick look at the armors and furious is on the head, arms and legs meanwhile berserk is on the arms and legs, so unless one gets lucky with qurious crafting they can only have 1 point in berserk with two in furious or 2 points of furious and 1 in berserk

The reason why Chaotic is higher than even Shagaru is because a Chaotic Gore has reached the point it is ALMOST a Shagaru but has been stalled from molting it's final shell. So it's basically at Shagaru's level but driven mad

What do you mean by “cannot die.” Do you not take damage or do you end with 1 health. If so, would getting hit put you at one health the strife kills you immediately or does it deactivate when you reach 0 health making it act like guts?
It means you straight up do not take damage while you have red health. It'll decrease fairly quickly, but for the 10-20 seconds you have Red Health before it kills you, you are invincible. Still get knocked back, stunned and whatnot, but you do not take damage from anything except Berserk's health drain.
I think there's one thing about Chaotic that barely anyone mentioned: If you broke its Gore feeler, it stays up instead of retracting. The thing lost so much control of its body that the feeler didn't even bother to retract like it's supposed to.
I laughed way to hard at that shed joke and it hurt cuz I'm sick
5:05 I hate to break it to you but a broken leg is pretty much a death sentence for a horse. With they way thier bodies are built and how heavy they are they can't survive with one leg out of commision like a cat or dog would. Also the recovery process is really bad so it's much more humane to euthenise them. They have to be hung in swings, there is also the psychological part of isolating a herd animal.
I like that you can take NPC hunters on most master rank hunts now. It's great for people like me who don't have regular access to internet and have to play solo.
Hopefully they can do something similar with base Rise using Kamura characters.

Alright, so when you activate Blue Scroll all your health turns to red and red health replaces green health, fair enough... And so getting hit by monsters causes you to lose red health instead of gree-... Wait... that's not actually how it works..
How it actually works is that it just makes you *_𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕞𝕒𝕟𝕖𝕟𝕥𝕝𝕪 𝕚𝕟𝕧𝕚𝕟𝕔𝕚𝕓𝕝𝕖_* while you're in blue scroll... and if your health starts getting low then you can swap back to orange for a heal then back to blue to resume being *_𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕞𝕒𝕟𝕖𝕟𝕥𝕝𝕪 𝕚𝕟𝕧𝕚𝕟𝕔𝕚𝕓𝕝𝕖_* ...

From "Fenzy Blade Goss Harag" in the Gore Magala Proob, thought of Frenzy Fruit Bishatan, Frenzyfang (unoriginal) Barioth and Frenzy Scale Steve. Those 4 should get variants that work similar to Apex (4U) monsters, keeping the threat level and having mastered the virus to their own attacks.

My headcanon, at least for this version of Chaotic, is that he's extra strong because he's frenzied himself. He's in a vulnerable state, so the Frenzy takes a hold, and does its thing. That would explain the pain, extra glow, and the added strength
