Soo... what's your opinion about the long night of updates? I want to know what y'all think about it 😅

a new game from scratch would be so nice, the only problem is people would probably be (understandably) upset about losing all their horses and/or progress ):

@@Wingardiium What I mean was three or four years after they launched SSO, it would make more sense because there weren't many players yet. But doing it now would be insane 🤣 🤣 There is no way to do this with the progress they have already made, and I would be one of the upset players if they did 😅 Let's hope it doesn't take so long for them to update what's left.

I quit Star Stable for the same reasons! However, I think it’s equally important to mention just how aggressive the fan base has gotten. Club owners/members could be either lovely people or the total opposite which led to me leaving the popular club, Steel Bees due to a complete power trip by the owner. The environment became more of a workplace than a game and when you’re constantly surrounded by a community that complains with almost every update, the magic of Star Stable fades away. I pop on every now and then but it never feels the same like it did when I first started out.

Not an old player (I joined this year in March), but it bothers me too to see all the areas looking different, especially the characters. I really dislike the style they used for Epona and I really hope that one day we'll see the rest of the game catch up to today's standards.

@@ThatLocalBit I like the cartoonish style the game had, the interface, etc. I thought it was more unique. But with the change to the new style (more realistic) it does really feels weird to see the two versions together 😅 I hope they don't take too long to update this.

as an older player, theres a list of things that bother me. I agree with you that from the perspective of a new player, the game looks nice, but thats about it, it "looks" nice.
With all the visual updates, theres always more bugs added to the game and old horse animations are broken, the character does weird things, textures get all over the place. I would like to see less horses and more optimization of the game, its runs like a potato and it has too many issues. They should make it run well before adding more layer to the cake they already have.
I also have am issue with how grinding the new activities are. All events and areas are so time consuming and not in a good sense, you just do the same thing over and over. Last year with was hours collecting snowflakes for a basic recolor of tack for the winter event, then Hollow woods is the same business but you collect lights instead to be able to buy the tack, you dont even receive it directly, and now the trailblazing pass you just repeat races over and over to collect exp in order to unlock tack. None of it is actually entertaining gameplay
In fact I will say the game lacks gameplay. Like genuine, capable of you improving your skills, gameplay. They had a hint of interesting show jumping for a while in the silverglade arena, but it seems to have been dropped. The dressage added now to silverglade could be interesting like a timing/rhythm game, but instead you just... control the speed of your horse in circles and lines? One would think that the fishing could be made into an interesting mini game like RD2 did, and yet they act like it was never in the game. They could introduce cooking the same way they introduced crafting to give us something to cook or bake to make money with, to sell to NPC's, but instead we get another time consuming waiting game for flowers instead in order to make potions that no one actually really needed?
Like whats up with that, the most interesting "gameplay" we have is to train our horses that we pay actual money for but you want to give us potions to give them exp instead to speed up the process so we... buy another one sooner? The whole process of training is the interesting part, why would you try to skip it?
As an older player, I see a lot of potential, potential of promises they seem to have forgotten, but also of things that other games have done well in the last few years that we could use as inspiration, and it bothers me that SSO seems to be stuck in a loop of visual updates without real meaning behind it instead of pushing the game forward. A game needs more than looks to be interesting, SSO has the potential for it, they just dont invest in it

Im 16 and I've been playing since I was around 10-11 and even back when I started in 2019 it was fun and now it's all new horse new clothes new pets, and when there is story's or new updated areas most of the time other than valedale its all just a new area to put new horses or new clothes, there's nothing to do if your a player who doesn't buy star coins and I love the game still but I have to take breaks for months at a time till there new stuff to do
