I love your jams guys,so organic. You pair are getting better and better imho.(not just playing together, but presenting together as well. Keep them coming guys, I really enjoy your stuff 👍
they both have that vintage signature crispy edge. I'm sure both of your touches add to it but it's so perfect. So crispy you could take a crunchy bite of that tone
1:56 The tone from Bob’s ‘burst is absolutely incredible - not saying that the DB isn’t good but I’ve never heard a Les Paul sound like that ‘58 anywhere before.
Ramon can play! As well as Bob, but I definitely always love Ramon’s playing, his choice of notes and phrasing. This is one of the best channels on UA-cam! Keep it up gents! Love from Louisiana in America!
Excellent! That guitar has got it and you bring it out in spades. I have a replica 59 and if you get one that's "right" it is something you can't let go of. Enjoy your new time with it!
Great show kids... Thanx for balancing the volume I'm a bit deaf (deaf electric guitar players, right?) ...and it makes all the difference... Great plunking BTW
I'm always struck by what amazing players you guys are. Get a band together and a tour of the UK ! . Ive heard everything in my 55 years and have been earning a living from playing guitar for 25 years. Seriously both your playing is awesome
Beautiful outro jam fellas, I'd love to know what you know about off the radar high quality guitars goose, i mean this is pretty stiff competition against the Bob burst and it holds it's own.
ESP are amazing guitars - especially the Japanese made ones, I still use and love my Navis, however I was looking for a Les Paul guitar that had a vintage feel and sound and thats not what the ESP navi les paul is. I need a vintage sound for my new project/album so for me an instrument is a tool - its needs to provide a role and do it well. Hence the new Daniels guitar - thanks!
I was listening to this on my phone and my son came in the room whilst the jam at 3 min kicks in ...and he nonchalantly says..." listening to rich white "...blues grandads wishing they were poor black guys in 1950s racist America again Dad?"... im like ..."well er.......lol...
I’m no grandad and I’m poor….as for Bob he can speak for himself. I’ve never wanted to live in America…born in England and I lived in Africa and Argentina!! Africa is the source…tell that to your son!
@TheGuitarShow True....hes always banging on about the infamous Eric Clapton/Enoch bloody Powell incident....and we've had major debates/ arguments about Paul Weller...and Eddie van Halens relevance in modern music...I even half joking threatened to cut him out of inheriting the house when I snuff it...if he didn't stop dissing Joe Satriani..lol...ironically enough he's a music fanatic like me...and we enjoy a lot of the same acts...Kate Bush...iron maiden...billy bragg....Suzanne vega...Richard Thompson....Rammstein....Amy Winehouse...Motown Stax Volt soul....Bjork...ABBA.....I seriously think he does it to wind me up...hes also a pretty good acoustic player... who unlike me can sight read music...and plays piano......yet shows no interest in electric guitar ....Bloody kids!! Lol
PLUS.....and this is unforgivable.....He said my treasured old battered and bruised but still supremely resonant old Gibson les Paul junior looks ugly....and the stickers ..(which i put on in the 80s so are older than him!!!) Look daft.....I mean Cmon son....its an old les Paul junior...thats rarely been in its case since I chanced on it....i wanted a les paul standard but had to settle for a cheaper alternative.....back in the 80s when a "vintage " junior was a cheap guitar....he also says my new..(2016) Gibson les Paul junior looks better....and sounds the same as the "shitty looking old one".... actually he does have a point though...the 2016 one which is a propiterary model for the Japanese Market build apparently to vintage spec...well apart from the PCB wiring harness...( id switch it for a vintage spec one but im lazy and tbf it does the whole using volume and tone to get different sounds quite fine if it isn't broken why fix it ? ) does play and resonate...and sound as good as the old 50s one....which tells me that a good copy of an original is virtually as good as an old one....as born out in your video....your les Paul standard sounds and looks fabulous...im not sadly rich so will never own a vintage Gibson les Paul burst...and tbf I'm not into les Paul's...but if I was a nice new one would scratch that itch...I get the kudos of ownership and as I own an old one myself by accident..I think a lot of the mythology re old guitars is marketing and well heeled guys trying to feel special....at least your mates old one actually gets used and enjoyed....a freinds dad back in the 80s owned a 1954 sunburst fender strat and yet his £200 Tokai copy was just as good....of course those 80s cheapo copies....man I've had a few of those pass through my hands...are pretty desirable now....I had Tokai Talbo blazing fire strat...a weird thing...sounded kinda rubbish....I paid 150 quid....sold it for an 100 with a tube screamer.thrown in....they fetch over a grand these days!!!....
It was Les Paul and Epiphone that actually birthed the concept of the Les Paul solid body guitar not Gibson..full articles on line.. Gibson is a complete joke compared to Epiphone
@ajcydnisargetti9500, You are delusional and i am being kind about it! Epiphone with the exception of the Elitist series uses sub par grade woods, sub par hardware and only recently started using Gibson USA electronics on many of their guitars. Perhaps you have not read where recently there was one owner who found out that their Epiphone 1959 Les Paul standard is not mahogany and maple as listed but when it was tested it was actually Olive wood and Birch! There was a lawsuit over this.
I sometimes forget what a killer player Ramón is. Some tasty licks from Bob too. Couple of rambling comments. My 2010 Tokai LS150 looks almost identical to Bob's '58. Same colour burst and you can also see a _tiny_ bit of flame and just the perfect angle and light. Ramón, I feel like you need to get the vintage style truss rod cover back on that replica. It just don't look right! We have a guy here in Cape Town South Africa who does great replicas and might be fairly affordable for Brits.
Man… these guys are just amazing. The synergy, the chops, the guitars, the knowledge. Truly a match made in heaven. Very awesome to see guitar collectors that got the chops to back up the talk! Keep up the awesome work fellas.
Fantastic Show Guys. One of UA-cam’s Best and most honest Guitar Channels. That last Blues playing is killer.Ramone you could easily fit into John Mayall’s band .Congrats
I love your jams guys,so organic. You pair are getting better and better imho.(not just playing together, but presenting together as well. Keep them coming guys, I really enjoy your stuff 👍

Even though it was a short flirtation for him, it was Beck with an LP that really got me. That 'Blow By Blow' cover.

Have to say I did use it on some late Alberto recordings and 48 chairs! (you may wonder what that was)
Awww Simón Thanks for telling me that’s so cool!!! I love that guitars history

Thanks so much, I (Goose here) have played many replicas and this is definitely head and shoulders above anything I've yet played.
Nice one !!

Great tone (!)
Mystic Blues amp (no pedals) just OD channel
Really cool video! What value caps do you like with PAFs?
Hi Alan I like 0.22 in the bridge and .015 in the neck, thanks!
Appreciate the response thank you!

"Not a day goes by where I don't hold this guitar". If you have one that nice and it sounds like that... play it.
Exactly bro!

Wonderful guitar. So I am guessing you are in the belief that these are better than the Gibson Custom Shops, I wonder are they as expensive??
Five Watt pales in comparison
It was Les Paul and Epiphone that actually birthed the concept of the Les Paul solid body guitar not Gibson..full articles on line.. Gibson is a complete joke compared to Epiphone
It is one thing to voice a opinion but another to say low IQ things like you did!
Gibson is a complete nothing compared to epiphone
Sure pal, not that Epi’s are bad but come on.
I will put my 2018 Historic R9 up against ANY epiphone anytime, anyday!
You have to be a troll or of a really low IQ saying what you did?
