The music for this game is on another level. I remember playing this game about 7/8 years old and damn, still get buzzed watching it being played over 20 years later
The sound effects of his blaster, or Storm Eagle's wing flaps, etc are also very cool. This game had such an awesome retro sounding backtrack to it, as well as a bit of that 80's/90's hairband era style rock sound to it, love this game!
Mega Man X and X2 had some awesome soundtrack but X3. I HATED the sound used for that game. They should've kept the same sound type they used for X an use it for X3.

Wind increases fires, doesn't quench them Storm Eagle: Weak to Chameleons sting - no sense, most birds prey on bugs Sting Chameleon: Weak to cutter as mentioned Boomer Kuwanger: Weak to Octopus missiles - also no reason for that Launch Octopus: Weak to Armadillos shield ball - just..?? Armored Armadillo: Weak to Mandrills electricity - if anything this is backwards. Pokemon has taught us for generations that ground is strong against electricity, not the other way around xD Spark Mandrill: Weak to Penguins ice - this one i'll agree on, electricity does not appreciate sudden drops in temperature :p
I'm 29 I had this shit as a kid when I was only 7 never beat it even as a teen never beat it I get the damn SNES Classic and somehow now I beat this shit lmfao! just glad I was able to beat it before I turned 30 lmfao!

Thanks for the walkthrough. I got the ps2 x collection version that's what i am currently playing it on. I have never played a lot of megaman games and did not realize how hard they can be unless you play them a certain way. This walkthrough really helped. I have gotten really good at this game. When i played without the guide I had beaten chill penguin and mammoth with out any help or upgrades other than dash. Now i am halfway done with the game because i seen that if played a certain way it isn't that hard. Thanks
I played this game a long time ago, never finished the whole game, now I just played it all the way through and took me at least three days. Thanks for the guidance though this. Now Megaman will be a special edition to me.
People talk about how easy this game is. And I struggle so much with it. I'm not very good at it. And I look up walkthroughs and people just blast through the levels and bosses, meanwhile it usually takes me a few tries. Now I don't revel in the suffering of others, but seeing you get hit a few times and still 100% the game fills me with so much hope. Thanks for making this!

Then I observed that the upgrade was for the Hadoken. In fact, that whole thing caught me off guard. I didn't know that was a thing in Mega Man X1; I always thought it was either a rumor or a Japanese exclusive.
God I remember this game. I never beat it but it was a lot of fun. Me and my brother kept trying non stop but we got stuck on that damn spider who appeared after Zero died.
Looking back at this 30 years later just the introduction alone talking about “x” basically ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE how it reflects TODAYS TIMES is quite predictable

Back in the 90s my mother bought me this game for my super Nintendo. The furthest I got was the final boss a few times and I never could beat him. Then when I chose to pick it up in the early 2000s I was able to exact revenge and finish the game. Not to mention you should’ve used the electricity to take off armored armadillos armor, wind for fire elephant, and scissors for octopus arms. Those are the ones I remember anyway to help even the odds a little bit.

I have Mega Man X, X2, & X3 on my Nintendo 3DS, out of the 3, I find X1 is the best but X3 is so challenging because the enemies are more tougher, and the Mavericks are sure a challenge, but hey I love them all!!!

Also have the collection for ps2. Bit no ps2 lol. Just get a galaxy phone, emulator, ps4 controller... your good to go.
