9 abjuration wizard, 2 warlock, and 1 cleric will make you a unkillable tank that mAkes everything die when they try to strike you. Upcasted Armor of Agathys, Blade Ward/Stone skin, and 18 points of shielding. At least for BG3. Combo with create water for double damage off the ice for even more fun.

Finally! Although I understand it needed to be nerfed otherwise Wizards would be unstopable, but I miss ability to scribe my own scrolls. Not even fireballs just basic stuff like knock.
Although I still think a one level dip into cleric, paladin or fighter - ideally starting as one and multiclassing into a wizard is better, since it gives you access to heavy armour proficiency so even if by some bullshit some fucker jumps over their heads or runs between three of your compatriots without provoing attack of oportunity and tries to rub the busines end of his lovemaker against your tender skin you have a heavy condom to protect yourself with.

Current run I have a one-level dip to War Domain Cleric. It's really nice. Heavy armor so I can dump dexterity, plus three extra melee attacks per long rest and healing word. Only lose one feat in exchange.
