I went through hours of these UA-cam phone reviews and bought a Pixel 8a from a Mintmobile special of $399 with free shipping, price has now gone up to $499. I left my XR 2018 as it was too slow and clunky. It does everything and so much more quickly with its 5G reception. Display is sharp. I get my emails and texts way faster than with the XR. Camera with its editing tools is superior. Lightweight and it fits nicely in my pocket. It gets AI very quickly and it is included. After 10 years with Apple iPhones, I got sick and tired that you need a 16 or 17 to adequately run their own Apple AI, and even that is problematic if you cut through their propaganda. You need a little time to get used to their Android system but it is worth it. If you really want the best IOS phone, wait for March, 2025 for their SE4 listed at $499, a real bargain.
Unfortunately, here in the US our government does not want us to have competition for our corporations.
