Yep, we’re parties to the everlasting covenant (the one Abraham saw in Genesis the torch and furnace walking betwixt the peices) between the Father and Son (the church being his body). Our blessings come as a result of Christs inheritance being willed to us. That’s why the word testament/will is used and the writer of Hebrews says that a testament is of no effect until after the death of the testator. The blood of Christ is to us the blood of the testament and to Israel the blood of the New Covenant. It’s sad to see people pretend they’re experiencing the new heart and spiritualize the promises of the new covenant such as not teaching each man his brother. They totally disregard the land promise of the NC too, it’s ridiculous and they get belligerent about it if you refute them. It’s a hold over from Calvinism.
Hey great video bro. One question, I always thought the first Covenant was done because of Hebrews 10:9. This Acts 2 stuff has got to stop. I tried to help a guy last night. He swears the Church started in acts 2. I asked him to show me with scripture any other Apostle using the term "The Body of Christ" you'll only find it in Paul's letters.
The first (old) is done, but the new doesn't begin until after the 2nd coming, you are correct bro! Yes, this Acts 2 crap has to end, its a false teaching that is just not sound doctrine.
