Exactly! He realized he would never be able to work with her, or help her, or give her advice without her being upset and accuse him of trying to take over. She likes being in charge, and running it her way, and that's why its been a failure. She just cannot take critical advice without taking offense.
This show is so awesome. One of my favorites. I love that sometimes Marcus just walks away.

Lesson from Marcus: Never take a minority stake in a business where the majority owner is indecisive, disoriented, or just simply unstable.
MP should license the product or sell the business to her business & family. Let them run it and she can be an actress.

Did anyone else notice how shocked her face was when that panel told her nobody knew who she was as a celebrity????That was hysterical I had no idea who she was until I watched this show I bet she would be shocked - LOL!

Why is it every "Celebrity" episode of the profit they start crying when they are not getting what they want or are confused? They act like children who cannot communicate and just want a cookie. Marcus should do what my mother did and walk away when the waterworks start. They would calm down and learn crying does nothing.
Did you see the one with George Lopez? There was crying lol but Lopez was cool asf. Lopez and Marcuz invested in a Mexican American chef to start a food line

She wanted to die slowly everyday rather than face the reality. When she did that neck exercises it tells how insecure she feels when she realized she's not competent to run the business.

How did this exposure make Potter look good in anyway shape or form? Or her career? Or her family? Or more important The Profit? I didn’t learn anything other than I question Marcus’ judgment and Potters stability.

I don't know anything about Marcus but here's what I took away from watching this. Monica seems like a genuinely personable person. Marcus comes off as a know it all, and I see no sense of leadership, collaboration or partnership. He just comes in and tries to change everything so quickly. Maybe there's more footage of him being the expert, but his team failed to represent him as one in this industry.

Most businesses that have any success start with a mono-maniac possessed with enough self will to manifest a dream. To then learn to let go, to delegate responsibilities and trust in subordinates to follow through...that's when it gets tricky. "How could it possibly function without my oversight?" Narcissist fuel that backfires on upscale. Golly, I'm so smart.

Taking advantage of what exactly? The business loses 100K a year.
Taking fifty percent of profit is literally nothing in exchange for a multitude of experience and access to capital. 50% is completely reasonable given the personalities that Marcus has to overcome to make it profitable in the first place.

A good business who isn't losing money would be smart to have marcus invest and take 50% if the business can 10x vs. stagnation and eventual irrelvancy.
