Also check out when they honor Led Zeppelin at The Kennedy Center. The band Heart covers this and it's so amazing. You can see Robert Plant's eyes watering. And Jason Bonham the son of drummer John Bonham who died in the 80's due to alcoholism is playing the drums.
I am an old man who grew up listening to Led Zeppelin. My friends, it is so emotional to watch the heartfelt reactions of two young people just now discovering this legendary band.
I agree...I've been a huge Zep fan since 1970 when I was 8-years old I heard Heartbreaker and I was hooked...I love watching these types of videos young people hearing them for the first time...!
Magic? Sorta / kinda ... (gifted). You're hearing true, pure music. Not robots and auto tune. Real talent, real music... music that actually touches your soul!
I've got you beat on that one. I'm pretty sure I have seen that solo thousands of times. There have been more days than I'm proud of where I have watched it multiple times. Not the whole song mind you just the solo. Nobody plays or sounds like Page.
Rad! I'm 49 and this stuff just sounds so good. It feels really on-the-nose great, as well as nodding to all the nice pagan mysticism etc that was still dripping into my childhood from lord knows how many sources.
It was like Page was having an out of body experience during that solo....but Bonzo on drum behind him and JPJ on keyboard (whilst playing bass pedals with his feet) went with him all the way. Incredible musicianship. As good as it gets.
Now that you know both the studio and live versions, it's time to check out Heart's performance of Stairway To Heaven, Live at the Kennedy Center Honors, with the remaining members of Zeppelin in attendance (being honored) and John Bonham's son Jason playing drums. It's amazing.
This couple has the best hair on the interwebs. Hands down. Also, watching her face light up when she first sees Plant is always worth the price of admission...even if it weren't free. Would love to see her thought bubble at 4:04.
You guys are on a journey. This band had spoken to many since their hey days in the 70s. And still many are discovering them and finding they are using music to reach your souls and hearts. They always have. They are master musicians. They are the Goats. What is beautiful is that we have computers and UA-cam to see the music we missed. You can see in real time the mighty Led Zeppelin. Just as a teen in the 70s who never saw them in concert can now see them live. We have this in common. And those who did see them can relive the experience and feel those feelings. What is sad is that you guys do have some good music but, it is not as much as when I grew up. I have listened to rock since I was about 6 and from the 60s to the early 2000s were my time of great music. You have a chance to see this and know what is important in your era now. I listen to music from your era. I know and like some hip hop - I actually was young when rap began. If you like that music check out Rakim. But, I also like artists in your generation but, it just is not as powerful and as interesting and independent as it was when I was your age. Learn and enjoy the opportunity to see very different music and see what there is to explore. And always remain open to experiencing new things.
Now they have to react to this song performed by Heart when they were honored. You can see the emotion on their faces. Robert Plant was almost in tears.
Love your guys reaction! We were all under the spell of Led Zep's Electric Magic from 50 years ago! So great to see their artistry appreciated by New Generations! Rock On!
Jimmy Page has always been the best guitarist in rock history for me. So many GREAT songs from folk to metal. Sure, Clapton is smooth, Beck was uniquely wobbly, and Hendrix, SRV and Santana were more connected to their instrument, emotionally, Jimmy, was a composer of so many magical moments in memory of the 70s ( I was born in 70) that they are a soundtrack to many of our lives. Taking what the Beatles did in the 60s and mixing with what the Stones were doing, and trying to mimic the great blues masters, Led Zeppelin had it all. All 4 members, masters of their craft.
Only exception I would take to what you said was that I think Jimmy had/has a VERY emotional relationship with his guitars. Especially his “Black Beauty” Les Paul. He makes love to his guitar when he’s playing. But I think all the greats do.
Yes, listen to their entire catalog. All their songs are incredible. If you feel like it, listen from the beginning all the way through. You'll be blown away and a lot of people will go with you on that journey.
SINCE I'VE BEEN LOVING YOU live from Madison square garden is probably the best live performance they have on tape. NO QUARTER is another that takes you to another state of being.
You’ll love seeing the Kennedy Center tribute to Zep version of this song by Heart, with the late John Bonham’s son Jason on drums, and the three remaining members of Zep watching from the balcony and clearly very emotionally moved by it.
Anyone that reacts in that way has Led Zeppelin in her soul. I have no idea how many times I have listened to them but every time it makes me sway and lose myself in the music.
Sometimes I take for granted growing up with Led Zeppelin's music simply being the music of the day . Now all these years later , by watching your reaction , I now know how lucky I was . BTW saw you pointing at the goosebumps on your arm . That says it all . I've listened to the solo of this song so many times & it still shakes me the same way .
You guys are great! Love your country too, wish I could have visited in my youth, in the 70s when my Lebanese grandparents wanted to take us there and I was just getting into Led Zeppelin as a 12 year old! But alas the trip to the home country never materialized but my travels with Led Zeppelin did. So great to see the youth of today enjoy what we youth of yesteryear loved so much and still love to this day! Please react to their whole catalogue, even the bootlegs, there are no bad Led Zeppelin songs.
Great Reaction! You should check out a band called Heart, 2 sisters that rocked hard in the 70s, do a Stairway to Heaven tribute in honor of Zeppelin at the Kennedy center honors in Wash DC in 2012. Led Zep is in the audience. You will definitely shed a tear. Enjoy
Would love to see you react to Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd Live Pulse Concert 1994 will also take you to another level just like the mighty Zeppelin!! Great reaction 😊
when you experience performances like this one, that sets the bar, and I am one who believes these videos of these live events are enough of the experience to get the experience. When you experience the same song being performed 35 yrs later like the Celebration Day concert, and still get an experience that is unlike any other, and that is when they elevate to GOAT status. You should check out the video of this song from the Celebration (O2 concert) Day performance and see how maturity brings yet another level. We can apply this to all the greats, be it Pink Floyd, Rush, Eagles, Rolling Stones, Depeche Mode, Iron Maiden, ACDC, Dire Straits, The Who, and even imagine how other greats who passed away before they were able to perform again 30+ yrs later, like CCR, Lynrd Skynrd, Stevie Ray Vaughn & Double Trouble, and some others, all of which surpass the test of time and elevate to the status of epic.

You are both so much fun. You would have been in their concerts if you had been Living in those days…..I was lucky to be at the Led Zeppelin concert in the early 1970s in Tampa Florida…..60,000 plus were there….traffic jams….you would have fit right in …Jimmy Page and Robert Plant are still alive today. Greatest rock band of all time! The band was formed in England by Jimmy Paige.
On 10 December 2007, Zeppelin reunited for the Ahmet Ertegun Tribute Concert at the O2 Arena in London, with Jason Bonham again taking his father's place on drums. According to Guinness World Records 2009, the show set a record for the "Highest Demand for Tickets for One Music Concert" as 20 million requests were submitted online.
I can remember every time I got in my dad's car first thing he would was stick they're cassette in the cassette player lol and he would sing along with them although my dad couldn't sing to save his own life lol thanks for the memories keep up the outstanding work 👍
Their 2nd best track is the studio version of No Quarter - mesmerising, hypnotic and completely different from anything you will ever have heard. Then listen to the live version from this same concert.
Led Zeppelin got the life time achievement award at the Kennedy Center Awards. All but one original members are there, drummer John Bonham passed away, theyre being honored by fellow musicians covering their songs. The band Heart covers stairway to heaven with John Bonhams son on drums. Robert Plant sheds a tear, Jimi Page is rockin. And so are the obamas, and a full house of the rich and famous. It's Amazing!!!!!
Led Zeppelin disbanded in 1980 when their drummer John Bonham died. They played together for the first time in 27 years with John Bonhams son; Jason Bonham on drums for the Celebration Day Concert in 2007. This will show you that pure talent only gets better with age. You can thank me later. Enjoy this performance. Kashmir, live from Celebration Day; 2007.
It wasn't the first time they played together. The three survivors reunited at Live Aid in 1985, and also at Jason Bonham's wedding, with Jason on drums. They also reunited at the Atlantic Records 40th anniversary, with Jason on drums, in 1988. Then, they reunited at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony for Led Zeppelin in 1994.
Led Zeppelin came out when I was a teenager. I love them, so magical. Don’t want to change subject but you have all the guitars back there. Have you heard my other top guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan best blues/ rock guitarist from the 80’s? His guitar skills will blow you away. Always watch Live. Stevie Ray Vaughan Texas Flood live at the El macombo. He also played at Carnegie Hall. Died young 1990 at 36 in a helicopter crash. I still have to listen to him every day.
You don't need to explain it... We can see how it makes you feel as we are watching you, we know Exactly how you feel. Do you want to know something really amazing? That feeling will never go away, you will still feel the same after listening to them for decades. Not many bands can do that to you.
Guys, I lov U. Have you listened the Celebration Day Concert, 2007. They were in their sixties, white hair, playing with John Bonham son, Jason? You won't believe how powerful they still are. Timeless.
I’m like you I was a post punk boy growing up and rock was like another tribe , I love watching reactions to this it’s just incredible , these were the first rockers and did their time gigging in clubs and pubs and learning their craft and developed their sounds , and had to be able to play and sing and keep time just to get noticed . ❤❤
Y'all are the only reactors doing Led Zeppelin properly. To truly understand LZ folks need to know both the live and studio versions. They are first and foremost a live jam band. Aside from all that I'm just gonna come out and say it. The two of you are one of the most handsome couples I've ever seen. Mind, body and soul! Maybe check out some Traffic/ Steve Winwood.
I second checkin out ***Traffic** & **Blind Faith** & **Spencer Davis Group** all bands with **Steve Winwood** the song **Can't Find My Way Home** literally saved my Life i will be forever **Grateful&Thankful** for the existence of **Steve Winwood** **RockON!!!*

The unsung superstar of Led Zep: whomever is operating that little yellow spotlight and keeping it on Robert Plant's head to give him a permanent golden halo to illuminate his God-like aura 😇 Robert Plant is truly a Golden God
Just remember folks this was in the days before looping, ear plugs and musical gadgets to improve their vocals and instruments. What you heard was them and only them not like today’s supposed “pop stars.
That says it all.. "THE MIGHTY" Led Zeppelin! There are many great guitar players, but none sound like Jimmy! We watched this movie at a midnight showing in a shopping mall, when it came out. The mall security said "We don't care about your smoking, but all bottles go it the garbage cans on your way in." You wouldn't have believed the sound and sight of the crowd smashing the bottles in the garbage on the way in! It was basically a concert watching a concert. with everyone blown away, just like you two. 🤘❤
The greatest rock band ever!! And this is one of the best rock ballads ever. All of them are best in their fields . Their musical diversity is unbelievable. They are timeless! Welcome, you have just begun the trip down the rabbit hole. Four incredibly talented musicians who blended together so well.🤘
Robert Plant - the sexiest man in rock! Oh my goodness, I get breathless watching his performances. I saw LZ in concert in 1974 and it was the best concert I have ever seen, out of maybe 100 over the years. They are all masters of their craft. Every guitarist wants to be Jimmy Page, Every singer wants to have the stage presence and voice of Robert Plant, Every bass player/keyboardist wants to be able to hold it together like John Paul Jones, and John Bonham was the drummer that all drummers wanted to be. Listen to each album in full, in succession. You will see why we are Led heads!
Zeppelin songs are transcendent, hypnotic; they take you away on a journey.......this and Kashmir are the best examples of their hypnotic journeys IMHO.
I was born in the mid 1960s with an older brother and a bunch of older cousins, so Led Zeppelin has been a part of my life for just about as long as I can remember. I have always thought of Led Zeppelin music as something that is felt just as much as it is something that is heard. What a pleasure to watch others who clearly know where I am coming from. Awesome reaction to watch. Thanks for sharing.
Led Zeppelin Stairway to Heaven live at Madison Square Gardens 1973 Pink Floyd Comfortably Numb Pulse Concert 1994 The "Yin and Yang" of greatest live guitar solos ever!
There are many great rock bands in the world, but I think you'll find it difficult to find anyone who can argue that British rock bands are the best. I think the reason why modern music is forgotten so quickly is because it's produced to make money quickly. The music that stays with you for years was not written to earn money but to touch your soul. If it becomes a hit and makes money it's an incidental bi-product of a song writers genius and artistic mind. Love from England. ✌❤🇬🇧
Loved watching your reactions! Another great classic rock performance is “Free Bird” live version by Lynyrd Skynard. I think you all will also be astonished by that performance too ✌🏼
Im' 69 now, finally learning to play, bucket list to play this on my 70th birthday! Not for anyone else but me, for the songtrack to my life! Even bought and fixed up a left hand double neck!
Led Zeppelin is the greatest metal band of all time. Robert Plant definitely had a majestic presence on stage. He and Jimmy were very special musicians. What you are feeling in this video, Carol, is adoration and strong chemistry with Robert and the magic he has over his fans. I am there with you...
Love you two. Your reactions are priceless. Thanks for sharing your reactions to the greatest band on earth, Led Zeppelin. I saw them in July 1977 in their last North American show in Oakland. Incredible
Two friends of mine saw Led Zeppelin perform in Los Angeles in the fall of 1969. It was the most mind-blowing show of all time. We had seen The Moody Blues, The Who and Ten Years After, all of whom were great. Then we saw this show! It was as if Earth was reinvented as they blew the roof off the arena. They left all other bands wondering what just happened to rock & roll going into the future. I'm nearly 80 and they still sound as fresh and raw as they did in 1969. I'm so excited to see younger listerners discovering the magic we felt more than 50+ years ago.
Also check out when they honor Led Zeppelin at The Kennedy Center. The band Heart covers this and it's so amazing. You can see Robert Plant's eyes watering. And Jason Bonham the son of drummer John Bonham who died in the 80's due to alcoholism is playing the drums.
Yes! Highly Recommended!
Brilliant reaction from 2 charming people. Please do more live Zeppelin. No quarter or dazed and confused comes to mind 💜

We ALL feel that way!!! You need to see this concert 1973 Dazed And Confused...28 minutes of Jimmy that you wont ever see again in your life!!!
I’m 70 years old and still get the same reaction to Led Zeppelin as I did when I was 18❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥

I'm a little older than you and I concur.

I completely agree (l'm 75) LZ was unstoppable force...
I was at these concerts.
You wouldn't be able to handle dazed and confused live 25 minute guitar solo. 😊

Plenty of interviews with Robert out there, a very down to earth guy. He explains his development as an artist very clearly..
There are many great rock bands, over history, and they all wanted to be Led Zeppelin. The GOAT. Period.

Surely you mean band ?.
yep they are
I'm 62, and I've heard a lot of great music in my life, but Led Zeppelin live, " There's none better."

It was fun watching her blush!😊 Best band ever the magic is forever Led Zeppelin Rocks!
The looks on your faces when Robert started singing is why I watch reaction videos. You guys are so genuine
You don't need to explain it... We can see how it makes you feel as we are watching you, we know Exactly how you feel. Do you want to know something really amazing? That feeling will never go away, you will still feel the same after listening to them for decades. Not many bands can do that to you.
3 mins in and Plant has stolen another girl. 😊
The lead break in No Quarter from the same concert is even better, IMO.
Agree
Ohh thank you so much for your lovely words and compliments ❤️❤️😁😁

You will _not_ be sorry, if you like guitarists, and react to this tune. 👍

The unsung superstar of Led Zep: whomever is operating that little yellow spotlight and keeping it on Robert Plant's head to give him a permanent golden halo to illuminate his God-like aura 😇
Robert Plant is truly a Golden God
Masterpiece. Great music transcends everything. It’s so emotional and alive
As commented elsewhere- it is the "spirit of their delivery"
Can't wait for you to hear pinkfloyd Comfortably numb
PULSE version!

Oh ya it’s an experience might get you emotional
The greatest rock band ever!! And this is one of the best rock ballads ever. All of them are best in their fields . Their musical diversity is unbelievable. They are timeless! Welcome, you have just begun the trip down the rabbit hole. Four incredibly talented musicians who blended together so well.🤘
They way Carol was feeling the guitar riff I knew she'd be emotional at the end.
Welcome to the world of REAL rock-n-roll. Greatest of all rock bands. Nearly 500 million lp's, cd's and dvd's sold. GOAT!
I am 73 and nothing today comes close to this.
John Bonham made magic on the drums. He had a simple set of drums and made more sounds come out of them, that no drummer today could ever do.
Led Zeppelin Stairway to Heaven live at Madison Square Gardens 1973

The "Yin and Yang" of greatest live guitar solos ever!
Zeppelin are special, they didn't put a foot wrong musically. Everything they released is worth hearing.
Incredible
Led Zeppelin is like having four Michael Jordans in the same band.
You may need to add a few more MJs considering all the other instruments JPJ adds to their music besides bass 😁
Four Michael Jordans, one Babe Ruth, and two Chuck Norrises.
Live, ALL live, NO nonsense, NO fakery. The best band of ALL time. That is how it's done, folks!
Welcome to the best rock band of all time!!!Enjoy!!
