For example, many people fear cell phone radiation when in fact the high frequency waves of a cell phone carry less energy than many colors of visible light. There are also branches of medicine where direct shocks are administered the human brain for varying purposes. Sometimes they have an effect like making the person move a muscle, but the lasting effect doesn't seem to harm the brain even when directly shocking it. So essentially I think we are far too resilient for these small effects to make much of a difference up until the point we notice them and sense pain.

Nice to see not everyone is afraid of AI. The way I see it is much like Asimov's books, with robots playing protecting roles over humans. Very long term, to think that robots would eventually replace us entirely isn't frightening to me. If they are advanced enough to replace us, they will be advanced enough to preserve the human spirit and individual personalities. I view it more as a stage of evolution than an extinction, but I suppose that line is gray.
