You will be much more creative by limiting your gear then expanding it. Cuz at the end of the day creativity is nothing more than problem solving. Nice video
The 400 mm f2.8 lens is amazing if you are a professional photographer and you need a lens like that but if you are doing photography as a side hustle or for fun it wouldn't make sense to spend that much money.
@@EvanOlbricht I'm no professional and I've never made a cent from my photos but I'm passionate about my them. I think the 400mm is a beast whether you are a pro or not.
I agree but most amateur photographers can’t afford a 400mm f2.8. Just like myself I make some money from photography but am very happy with my 100-400 and don’t need the 400mm f2.8. If you use the 400mm a lot I do think it’s very much worth it.
I'm a semipro nowadays and when I started back in the days I (like most) fell into this trap. If you got a decent 2nd hand Pro body like a 1DXmk1 or similar you only need a 24-70 2.8 and 70-200 2.8 (get them second hand as well) and you can shoot 95% of what most clients ask of you. IF you ever need a specialist lens for anything else, then rent this instead.
Exactly! Those lenses and a good camera body can shoot almost anything and you probably couldn't even tell the difference in the photos between the newest gear anyway.
Thanks for watching! Hope this video was helpful.

I totally agree!
I got me a sony 400mm f2,8 lens just to prove to you that some of the extra gear that costs, works like magic.

I disagree about the tripod, buy the best you can when you can, those cheap tripods are a waste of time and money, just buy quality the 1st time.
I agree but if you’re not gonna use it that much it still doesn’t make sense to spend a crazy amount.
Very good, but slow down and organize a bit more.
Thanks for the tip! Definitely working on making it seem more like a conversation.
YOU SPEAK SO FAST
Haha. I’ll try to slow it down.
