The distance between NY and Moscow is 7530km. The flight in this video lasts for about 230 secs. This means one sec in this video is about 33 kilometers in flight distance. That's faster than most of the space craft we've made.
The sky never gets completely dark around summer solstice at 48 degrees, Moscow is at 55 degrees. As they were flying far further north, I don't know why the sky became so dark (sun around 14 degrees under the horizon)
@Pixelated Cheese Gaming In order to go from New York to Moscow, it's actually easier to fly through the North Pole (in terms of time and distance) rather than fly over the Atlantic ocean. Which is why it isn't ever dark in the video If he were to fly new York to London, however, he'd fly over the Atlantic ocean

in a way there is, it was summer time and flights from New York to Moscow go very far North. So what you see is called White Nights or the Midnight Sun - it doesn't get completely dark at night. I have updated the description with some links.
Midnight sun happens when the sun doesn't set, white nights happen when the sun doesn't go under 7 degrees under the horizon, and the twilight nights happen when the sun doesn't go under 18 degrees under the horizon. There were the twilight nights in the video, they happen even in Paris around summer solstice, but it was 17th of May and the twilight nights were happening further north - the plane wasn't far north enough to experience the white nights.

Matan Gorodish neither, it has too little information. You can build many universe models around this video. People who believe in flat Earth would point out flat horizon but maths tells me that at 10km flight altitude I wouldn't be able to see the curvature of a 6300km radius sphere anyway. So if you judge from just this video, Earth could be both, flat and spherical. There is just not enough information here.
Thanks! The big question is about the sun that sets and rises again. @scvs2 it's tricky. I shot flight videos several times, during one of the flights I had to put a blanket over the window because it was too bright and people were asleep. I just tucked it under the window plastic shade.

How could the plane watch the Sun set behind it, then 9 hours later, the same Sun zips by the plane @3:48?! Can the plane circle the globe, in 9 hours?????!!!!! The only solution to that question, is that it's the Sun moving over a stationary earth.
1. Because the plane is turning. 2. The sun is clearly rising by the plane at 2:30 and moves ahead of the plane, thus why the plane can see the sun when it turns.

Why does the Sahara, or Africa in general look so small compared with it's actual size? Where's the Pacific ocean? Gimme my answers and I'll give mine...
If that plane fly west to east, the camera is pointed north, so how the fuck we can see the sun setting if we are looking toward north? The sun isn't supposed to set west, so on the left and out of the field of view of the camera and rise east, so on the right and again out of the field of view of the camera? And everything happen in the north hemisphere where the sun is supposed to be visible only when looking toward south. Very strange
Neo, check Google Earth, use distance calculator and plot a line between New York and Moscow and you will see approximate flight path - flights usually takes you over Greenland and go not East, but rather NE in the beginning and SE in the end. Furthermore sunsets are only twice a year strictly West due to Earth axial tilt. Check out Photographer's Ephemeris software - they have great visualization of the angles at which sun rises or sets at any day of the year. Specifically in Northern hemisphere Sun moves South in winter (thus we have less sunlight) and moves to South in summers.
@JokesNotFunnyAnymore If I were you I'd take a big Airbus or Boeing first. It is much more smooth, small plane shakes a lot. Also take off and landing is usually the most stressful for those who don't like flying (and the most dangerous part of the flight). On a short distance you will start descending right after completing ascending.
You do realize that pilots have to account the earths curvature to plan the flight plan properly and save as much fuel and flight time as possible? If it was just a straight line on a flat map, they’d end up in a completely random place. Also the curvature of a planet that is millions of square kilometres big can’t be seen well only 35k feet obviously. We’d have to strap you to a rocket for that which I would love to see
This video is a perfect debunking of the Flat Earth nonsense. It shows how the horizon is at wingtip level at ground level and below wingtip at altitude. it shows how the sun does not get smaller as it sets, but remains the same size as it drops below the horizon.
+TruthSeeker While I'm don't agree in any way, shape or form with any flat earth model, I have to point out that the wing tips on airplanes do not remain stationary. They actually rise from the forces of lift on the wings as can be seen here. The height of the horizon, however, IS a great way to demonstrate the curvature of the earth as it does measurably fall with altitude.
madmelon101 True. Well, the camera is static with respect to the window, so if you don't want to use the wingtip, then just place your mouse at the horizon at 0:06 (off the edge so it doesn't go invisible) and compare it to the horizon at 1:00 - 3:00 (sunset where it's super clear where that the horizon is below where it was at ground level)... and then compare it to the horizon at landing at 3:54. The difference is not huge but it's there and it's real.
The distance between NY and Moscow is 7530km. The flight in this video lasts for about 230 secs. This means one sec in this video is about 33 kilometers in flight distance. That's faster than most of the space craft we've made.

This video is older than some people
@JokesNotFunnyAnymore If I were you I'd take a big Airbus or Boeing first. It is much more smooth, small plane shakes a lot. Also take off and landing is usually the most stressful for those who don't like flying (and the most dangerous part of the flight). On a short distance you will start descending right after completing ascending.
If planes could actually go that fast like the time-lapse Lol
When I tried to record a timelaspe they FA requested me to close the shutters at night =/
Why close them at night?
@serzab спасибо. музыку выбирал из ютьюбовской коллекции, немного жалею так как она с копирайтом.
Very many polution..
Those are clouds.
lol
In the 3:15 minute, something quick happens next to the wing

Can you sub me?
Reminded me of flight from Beijing to New York xD 14 freaking hours
Всё равно неплохо - камера проработала по 4-4,5 часа на одном заряде батарейки - это должны быть мощные батарейки.
Yep, exactly what we can expect on a globe. Doesn't work on a flat Earth though.
are you kidding?
@@rossie6742 No. How high is the sun over the flat Earth?
Yes, the flights do not work on a flat earth because they would have to go in circles.
@@Kaizokirai False 😁
You Flat Earthers are spot on, Flat as a Pancake !!!
right, the facts count ...
@If you laugh you sub! um no
@If you laugh you sub! i don't believe NASA maffia pictures
We’d have to strap you to a rocket for that which I would love to see
song please

Dim Tim im search on youtube but nothing found
it was in the standard youtube audio collection they offered but you can buy it here i guess

Dim Tim ok, thanks for ur information
nice timelapse 👏
if you look in 3:42 you see the wingtip light turns off
на самом деле не хватило, я ночью, когда меньше всего было заметно на видео, поменял батарейки
Wow. I just watched a plane fly over a flat surface for thousands of miles. The earth is flat
I thought that was fake wing
If you could travel the speed it appears this plane is going, the centrifugal force from the curve of the earth would immediately kill you.
Read carefully: it's a timelapse
+TruthSeeker Yep. Completely obvious once you look for it...
+TruthSeeker lol this video is perfect for proving the flat earth as the sun clearly gets smaller the further away it gets.
Debra S You mean the reflection off of the water is small. Please.
