Secret Invasion Review season 1 episode 6 Finale - Where Samuel L Jackson is WASTED as Nick Fury as he does NOTHING in it. If Fury wasn't in this whole episode, nothing would have changed. Instead we "passed the torch" and it the whole series was done to humiliate Fury, tell him he was old and needed to be mothballed, and set up a possible new spin off show for Disney+. What an absolute disaster. This show has ruined the character of Nick Fury for me, and the fact that he's in The Marvels in the near future is absolutely laughable.
This whole show is MCU self destruction, and even though I made a whole video about how bad this episode would be, it's WORSE than I expected. But what did you think of what you saw? Let me know your thoughts down below and as always, thanks for watching :)

It's genuinely insane that the Skrulls, a species with the capacity to move 1 million sentients across interstellar space, are constantly whining that Fury, a single individual from a planet in (by comparison) the stone age, didn't find them a planet of their own.
How? Seriously, how was an American spy supposed to even accomplish this goal? Why don't they blame Danvers, last seen traveling at faster thannlight speed with a ship full of Skrulls?

Yes, exactly great point. The show even says the Skrulls have been on Earth for 30 years. So within that time frame they have gotten many into world leader positions, some became highly respected doctors etc etc. The Skrulls are shapeshifters and can literally make their lives better than humans by default. But because they can't walk amongst humans in their Skrull form, that somehow gets enough of them to decide to nuke the planet? I'm glad this show is over, every episode made be depressed.

    Questions no one answered:
    1. Why did Fury and Danvers abandon the search for a new home world? They never give a reason; just say everyone gave up at some point.
    2. Why wouldn’t the Skrulls eventually take matters into their own hands and find their own home world? Why does that all fall on the shoulders of these earthlings? (Thanos’s garden planet appears to be uninhabited)
    3. How long was Rhodey a Skrull? Was he replaced before some of his previous appearances, or just for this series?
    4. How long was Ross a Skrull? And why is he not in either Wakanda or prison?
    5. Why can’t the Skrulls just create their own country on Earth like the Asgardians did. And I can come up with answers for this one, but as the possibility is never brought up, I’m left with the impression that the writers just didn’t think of it.
    6. Talos claims they face hostility on every planet they go to. Why?
    7. If a million Skrulls have already been living on Earth for a couple of decades without even fury detecting it, how did Gravik and his followers become convinced they need to kill on the humans? They’ve already made Earth their home.
    8. It looks like Agent Hill never went to space, so why did she need a Skrull imposter in Spider-Man: Far From Home?
    9. Why did the president declare war on “all off-world born species,” when he knows there’s an entire peaceful country of aliens who had nothing to do with this genocide attempt? It can’t be an accident. He carefully chose those exact words instead of just saying “skrulls.” He’s clearly saying that no space aliens are welcome on Earth.
    10. Is it standard procedure for Skrulls to abduct people and steal their lives, or is that just a Gravik thing?

But if your head canon needs holes filled just consider... The Skrulls were always an evil race bent on domination with no interest in developing their own world. Fury was the only person in the galaxy dumb enough to let them hang out on their planet. That should cover most of your questions... as for the rest:
Rhodey has been a skrull ever since he turned into Don Cheadle.
Ross has been a Skrull ever since he and Dr Strange stopped Moriarty.

most of the planet problem seems to be that the skrulls are known throughout the galaxy (universe?) as world ending monsters, which they are, and so any world they inhabit that they go about openly results in the universe declaring war on them. specifically the kree, are trying the hunt them all down. Earth was a backwater planet that has enough protection to keep a small population of skrulls hidden form the universe. so looking for a planet means finding a way to force the universe to let the skrulls live in peace, that was never going to happen.
the president's speech means nothing in actuality, he's asking congress to pass legislation, he's not king of the world he's president of the united states. some crazy's in the us start shooting people at random, must be a tuesday. he can't affect new asgard without starting a war, that's in norway.

Personally I was gutted they didn't have David Hasselhoff reprise his role as Fury, I would have laughed my head off.

    • @Rakshiir
      @Rakshiir Рік тому +6

      They forgot alot of things.
Starting with the fact that Nick Fury was somebody before he even met Captain Marvel or the Skrull. Rhodes being captured in Iron Man 3 and being hurt to get out the suit? Either he wasn't a Skrull at that point or he somehow doesn't react to pain then how they react in this show.
Or how Fury had talks with several Avengers several times, something the Skrulls could not really do for him, so the line "I am not good with people" is bullshit. He has to be self confident at the same time, so the whole "he is worthless and the Skrulls did everything" doesn`t work. Someone who is incapable of doing anything does not have the self confidence to carry himself in certain discussions or situations like Fury did.
Disparu brought up the one scene they use and think people don't remember his reaction.
If anything, this show shows that many writers are overpaid braindead people who can't even get things right they should know simply by watching the movies. That should be the bare minimum to even be considered to work at a set for one of those movies. Writing one should have more hurdles to begin with (but we already know Disney doesn't care, there are so many examples in the MCU and Star Wars where the writers show that they know less then a casual fan)

Second, how would pissing him off help them? That'd just make it more likely Gravick would just kill her. Like he should have done anyway.
Third, this plan doesn't actually require her to speak, AT ALL. The only thing it needs is for her to go to this place, act weakened by radiation, give him the DNA(don't even get me started on storing dozens of DNA samples of both humans and aliens in one small glass vial) and then collapse inside the machine and hope he doesn't kill her or throw her out before buffing himself into godhood.
She never had to say a word, so unless Fury told her to say that there's no reason to think she would, and the only reason he'd tell her to say it is if he feels guilty because Gravick is right. The other option is she mind read him and said what he believed to convince Gravick she's really him which would only work if Gravick was certain Fury would actually believe that for a second.
Emilia has NO reason to say that, she has every reason to despise him since he killed her parents, both of them. So she has no reason to agree with him, no reason to speak at all, and no reason to make Fury degrade himself. Unless that was the plan, made by Fury.

She was likeable, and I remember all the time while reading the comic thinking "dude human torch why are you mad you found out shes a skrull, that alien chick is hot as fuck". I swear its like they purposely had to include a scene with nick fury making out with a disgusting bald masculine reptile monster just to deconstruct his character further. They won't let him talk. Watch any podcast with 6+ people especially if some of them are Brits. I'll spend up to an hour on Nerdrotic waiting for Mauler to get to say something. He'll get half a sentence in and get interurrupted by one of the clowns that has ate up 20 of the last 60 minutes out of again 6 people. The ideal podcast number is 3 people and even then they better make sure to pass the torch and all say something. Once it's 8 people it's basically a party simulator and you won't hear from half the people as the egos get even bigger.

I have so many questions about the Secret Invasion finale.
    1. How did they keep the samples of the Thanos and Black Order when Tony Stark eradicated all traces of their existence into dust?
    2. How can you get DNA from Korg? Plus his biology is not that special.
    3. Why didn't Gravik use Extremis to survive that blast? Are these powers he got not passive?
    4. When Gravik uses Ebony Maw's powers, why did he have Maw's rings? I mean a pale skinny arm with telekinesis is enough to recognize. Or if this is telekinesis, why does he have to shape-shift his arm to be like Maw? They think viewers need a visual aid to see he is using telekinesis.
    5. How come the database knows all of the character's names like Korg and the Black Order but not Groot. They classified him as Flora Colossus. Korg is Kronan. Gamora is Zen-Whoberi. Why didn't they classify them by their species?
    6. Why didn't they get Spider-Man's DNA? Did that DNA get erased by Doctor Strange's spell too?
    7. When they said the Harvest is the collection of DNA collected during the Battle in Endgame, how do they know Ghost was there? If they say Ghost's DNA is already collected before Endgame, why didn't Fury and his Skrull buddies collect Quicksilver's DNA in Age of Ultron? Heck, there was no DNA of the Scarlet Witch too.
    8. Lastly, if they can get Extremis, why not Pym Particles? I'm sure SHIELD has samples after Hank Pym's departure from that organization or Skrull agents trying to obtain them. And if Rhodey was a Skrull in Endgame then he should have taken a sample of it.

People give D&D a lot of hate but noone else has been able to make that basket of loons behave the only real actor in that show was Sean Bean and they of course spoilers take him right out. 2 of their star actors Arya and Bran started off as 8 year olds. "I killed him because of you!" I have a feeling that won't hold up as a defense in court, lol. And that actor- he's just horrible. I hope he doesn't become a "thing". The Guardian reviewer was certainly fawning over him as if he were. It's also worth noting that they're completely ignoring Captain Marvel's role in promising a planet to the Skrulls alongside Fury. What's the deal there- is Marvel just hoping everyone would forget?
