Whoa, whoa, whoa… I’ve been mostly out of the loop for a while, so tell me if I’m wrong here: they made Ark, then rolled out the “official release” which really meant nothing except a price bump, did some more expansions, then re-released the game as “Survival Ascended” with another price tag, and now are still re-releasing the SAME content with slightly better graphics? Also HOD, I don’t frequent a lot, but I almost always come back and watch an Ark video from you. Really love how you create content with this game and series. Much love brother!
Im sorry, but Wildcard will do what they have always done, not fix the base game but hey! new dinosaur! and a 16 gig patch that will break other things. There always was enough content in ase, it's like a kid putting spoilers on his car and a set of fluffy dice hanging from the mirror while the engine is pissing oil on the ground and 3rd gear doesn't work.
The teaming problems are huge with no policing in sight. Last time i played official my tribe of 3 members were getting teamed on by a 7 tribe alliance. They would come and wipe us daily, shit talk when they kill us even though we were litterly in cloth because we had nothing. At one point they were coming every hour. You may ask what did we do to receive this kind of response, we hadn't done anything. Our first wipe by them happened 30 mins after we joined the server.
I honestly don’t know how I feel about the Blimp on Aberration with its tight knit gameplay philosophy and progression. I guess the caveat is it looks like it will move along the ground and glide and not be able to straight up ascend so it’s probably not too game breaking. Also I think the Bob’s Adventure explorer notes could be a fun way for them to add explorer notes to non-story maps.
Seeing all these sudden news and communication out of the blue is like being hit by a train that made no sound. I think the Dune buggy and the blimp is gonna be part of the Ext and Ab adventure packs respectively. Bob's Tall Tales being the story told in the Adventure packs
whats up with the toolkits breaking on wildcards patches? Now that mods cost money it sucks to have paid maps broken for days at a time because of a wildcard update - not really surprising tho
Definetly performance need more work before Scorched Earth is released or with it. I think game should be running on medium/high settings on 60 fps minimum on gpus from last 4-6 years i would say. I know i dont have that much of high end pc with quite older cpu (Ryzen 7 2700X) and Radeon RX 6700 XT 12GB gpu but it should still be able to do more that 30-45 fps on medium. It seems to me that a lot of performance loss is happening due to lumen and maybe textures and structures although it improved a lot since the release. When map is pretty much empty with nothing build on it i can get over 70 fps on high settings around beaches and around 50 in Redwood but once i build my base and get a few tames performance goes out the window down to 30-45 fps.
They should keep the cryopods like they had in evolved. Every bon spawn has a crypfridge on it and its disgusting. And i just hate the island. Ive been raided by alpha raptors 5 times since i cant build in hiding spots without losing the ability to spawn in my bed.

It is essentially a live service without the tag. It’s part of the attraction. Survivals are very hard to make polished, it’s why it’s still relatively niche. The problem is when they rush and don’t make sure it’s at a state that people can mitigate/deal with the bugs and exploits
This game becomes so boring and dead cuz devs wanna rework and focus on things no one asked for like trains and Mackey mouse skins instead of getting real content and maps out, it's so sad
Console got a patch last night to fix your showcase patch. Unofficial ark unplayable for five days due to mod non compatibility. Oh God and the characters look hideous now
I might come back if.. - they give is the game we were promised where it runs better with UE5 on our existing hardware - fix up the old bugs and issues they never fixed up - fix up the new bugs and issues they gave the game with their lame Ark: SE import into UE5 - return the speed option so we can increase our speed or the speed of our pets - they have all the maps - they also keep their promise and properly deal with the cheaters & hackers - the crook Chinese give the $1.3 Billion USD they nicked off with back to the game and franchise they took it from Given none of those things will be done.. I guess I am done with Ark!! As for their woke TV series.. I do not care who voiced it or who is in it.. it is clear it is woke trash and I am so like totally over being tricked into watching woke rubbish!!
