incase if we are taking BA Economics (h) still there is mathematics in the course from differential equations to algebra, but as prescribed in various colleges syllabus and books they use if we compare with syllabus of economics and mathematics programm we will see a more deep mathematics there and less theoretical in economics. my question is do we really need a double degree programm with mathematics in the economics point of view if we had to pursue PG in economics (MA,MSC) ?? even in pg exams whether there are deep maths used or maths as of economics honours? In same view how ba honours in specifically subjects like economics stops us from pursuing any career goverment exams? time would be pretty larger in compared with a 2nd subject as degree.
It depends on your career goal , if you wanna be a specialist in any subject then you can choose Hons degree... sometimes simple B.A is more helpful, like for UPSC which demands knowledge from various subjects.... So it depends on your goals..Choose accordingly

Hey I just wanna know can I pursue MA in English after doing BA programme or it is necessary to do BA in English first and then move toward MA in English...I am confused a lot about that...pls help my guys
My Personal suggestion -: If you belive that you have the ability to crack UPSC then I would suggest go for B.A Programme because you get a large variety of subjects as option to choose during your studies. The choice between a BA program and a BA (Hons) program depends on your personal goals, interests, and career aspirations. Here are some factors to consider when making this decision: 1. Depth of Study: BA (Hons) programs typically provide a more specialized and in-depth study of a particular subject compared to a regular BA program. If you have a specific area of interest that you want to explore extensively, BA (Hons) might be a better fit for you. 2. Research Opportunities: BA (Hons) programs often require students to complete a research project or dissertation, which can provide valuable research experience and enhance your critical thinking and analytical skills. If you have an inclination towards research or plan to pursue postgraduate studies, BA (Hons) can be advantageous. 3. Prestige and Recognition: In some cases, a BA (Hons) degree may be perceived as more prestigious and distinguished compared to a regular BA program. This can be important if you plan to pursue competitive career paths or further education in highly specialized fields. 4. Time and Flexibility: BA (Hons) programs generally have a longer duration compared to regular BA programs, typically taking an extra year. If you value a quicker completion time or have other commitments, a regular BA program might be more suitable. 5. Career Prospects: The impact of a BA (Hons) degree on your career prospects can vary depending on the industry and specific job roles. Some employers might prefer candidates with an Hons degree, while others prioritize skills and experience. It's important to research the requirements and preferences of your desired career path to make an informed decision. Ultimately, there is no definitive "best" option between BA and BA (Hons). It is essential to evaluate your goals, interests, and future plans to determine which program aligns better with your aspirations. Additionally, researching the course curricula, speaking to current students or alumni, and seeking guidance from academic advisors can also help you make an informed decision.
