just because you have been in france, dosent mean you know how europe is, since france is 1 country in europe, and we arent all the same
I tbink a lot of the comments are missing the point, the host isn’t speaking FOR France/Europe, he is explaining the nuances he has noticed from his time in France compared to the American normal.
I don't think the clothes/jewelry part is very representative. I guess it's so in certain sectors, but for the time I've been in France it's not been like that in most sectors I've been. Agreed with other parts.
Hi, I am french, and I agree there is a bit of that from some people in France, maybe escpecially kids, but honestly i don’t think this is the majority of French, but I’ll admit I spent the last 10 years abroad so I don’t really know, but when I go to France, this is definitely not the kind of circles I have around me.
I would also argue that materialism is a much much bigger thing in the US. Maybe it’s not towards clothing hence why it’s surprising you.

France has the reputation of being the most ill-mannered country in Europe. No matter how scrupulously polite you are to them, they will most often be rude to you. It is not so bad as get into rural France, away from the cities.

@@masonstorm What she probably means is that France, Norway, Germany, Spain, Serbia etc. are in the continent of Europe but are very different.
