Fantastic video! I have had a similar cocktail smoker for about a year, and it just honestly never occurred to me to smoke anything but finished drinks just before drinking. I had no idea how versatile it could be! I am looking forward to experimenting some myself!
I have a Breville smoking gun and put my cocktails into a decanter filled with smoke and shake it to incorporate the smoke. Whenever I make a smoking cocktail at my bar it does make a bit of a smoky mess so I’m trying to look for something a little more manageable
Jean the photos you put before you start Making the drink is a work of art. It would be great to hold her photo a little longer as well as to write the ingredients of the drink. So we can make a file to look up and make it faster. Think about it. What you should not think about and owe me so long 🤣 is to make a video that shows how the videos are shot and how these wonderful photos come out. ❤️

Hey JF. Can you give me tips on how to use my SmokeTop without getting a “burnt” smell to the drink? I’ve tried smoking rosemary and cinnamon into some drinks recently, but most of the time the taste and smell just tastes like burnt, instead of the actual flavor/aroma. Thanks in advance!
Have you considered showing some great non alcoholic drinks . I subscribe to your to channel and find you very entertaining and insightful but after brain cancer doctors told me no alcohol so I don’t get to test your concoctions.

Honestly you can use many different varieties. Oak, maple, hickory, wallnut, cherry wood... all of them would be great
I use a stainless steel kitchen drain and a wood block to cover. Cost me $4 and works just like a smoke too. But will likely last much longer.

there's many good liquid smoked flavors out there just apply a few drop into your old fashioned and cocktails when at home, that's more simple 😁

Have you tried squeezing pineapples (like with a potato ricer)? Easy, less mess, and I think better taste.
I juice mine with my stand juicer, works great. Potato ricer is a good idea though!
Will try one day for sure. Right now I'm extremely limited in my tools as most our stuff are still in boxes.

I did use cherry wood for all of them but I also love Oak, Maple, Pecan...
