This message is exactly what I needed to hear. My husband and I were in the Las Vegas shooting and have been having a hard time. I have been feeling stuck and was drinking too much. Recently decided to quit drinking and get away from social media so much, realizing that I wasn't healing, needing to just sit with the pain and mourn, like REALLY mourn...the loss of the old reality..scared that I will never feel real joy again. I have prayed all throughout this time and really needed this. Thank you. The prayer at the end was awesome and the YEEYEE at the end was the best one I have ever heard.

Granger, I could not agree more about finding joy in the suffering. This past year has been the hardest year of my life while I suffered the loss of my marriage and doing everything I can to get it back. Even in the times where everything felt right in my circumstances, I always felt something missing. It wasn’t until I was in the midst of suffering I experienced pure joy at times I didn’t expect it. I work in oncology and this week after hearing that her cancer is back my patients husband said “honey are you ok?” and after just hearing devastating news she grabbed his hand and said “Life doesn’t have to be perfect to be beautiful” That will stick with me forever and be how I look at life situations from now on

I myself have been dealing with physically, emotionally and mental suffering for about 8 months. Holding tightly to God's promises that he will heal me in this New Year!! My family has been going through a lot of hard stuff and starting the smiths was an answer to my prayers, every episode reminds me of what a family can be, it restores my faith in God and family! I am a Christian and I know where my Joy comes from,only if I accept it from my Lord. U guys really made me think tonight....we' r really right down the highway from u guys....yee yee...my husband works for Williamson county ..sheriff's deputy...and we have kinda for the past year stopped going to church...I love him he loves me and we love our son and want him to grow up in a church environment...some things just happened and we stopped going...we both feel like we have been needing a place to restore our faith..thank u for re enforcing that....much much love to u both...U are absolutely two amazing beautiful people raising some beautiful kiddos!!!
