I also don't know why you are calling the current regime undemocratic, when (a) most of the government officials, with the notable exception of the president, from before Maidan remained after it, and (b) the current president isn't the same one who replaced Yanukoyvch, Zelensky was voted in in 2019.

The people of both Ukraine and Russia have to suffer under what the Russian government has decided to do. Ukrainians are being killed and made homeless and Russians are being crippled economically and hated unrightfully because of their terrible government. Hopefully this can all be resolved so the peoples can go back to living a regular life
Ukrainian Government broke the Minsk agreement and were looking towards and alliance with NATO which pushed Russia to respond. Though this is still very unfortunate.

And ask yourself, why does Ukraine and almost every eastern European nation want to join NATO to begin with? Do you think they would want to do that if Russia was trustworthy?

@@obligatoryusername7239 Yes, it is a very touchy topic. If Ukraine joined NATO which seemed likely to happen way before the Invasion of 2014, NATO would have full operational capability right next to Russia. I don't like Putin but it is understandable why he attacked.
