Looks like a handy hydration solution Chris. Been waiting for this review to hear your thoughts. As you know I am very much a trail vest guy so it might not be great for me but I can see the benefits of it for sure. 😎🤘
Great Review Chris. Ive just bought one in time for my Mallorca Holiday this Saturday, so looking forward to trying it out. Ive enjoyed the V1 upto now, so here goes.......
this is great i have the Freetrain VR Vest. i couldn't actually fault it. i wear mine on every training run. i have been thinking about the Hydro vest. its quite interesting as i didn't know they sell the bottle with it too.
Hi Chris I read through a few comments and saw you have been busy with work so not been running so much and feel like you have lost your mojo, I have had similar recently and know how hard it can be to want to keep running, try and keep your head up, hope to be able to get my here we are running fix soon, stay strong and enjoy what you do 👍
I bought the hydro 1 a few months back - it’s a gr8 little vest - does what it says on the tin and does it v well and it’s really good value for money considering u get the bottle bottle aswell ….. I think it’s a gr8 step up from the v1 which I also have :)
Hi i got this for christmas and tried it ut today but feel it doesn't get tight enough even though I've tried and found the phone was waking against my chest any ideas other than that no issues at all
My opinion is that it would NOT be worth it to buy one of those hydration vests for the London Marathon. The London Marathon is extremely well organized -- it is one of the six World Marathon Majors -- and it has very ample water stations all along the course. No need to weigh yourself down with a fluid vest when you can get water and fluid at many aid stations. Use a vest like this more for trail running and outdoor excursions in the mountains or countryside instead.
If you are still considering buying one of these then I now have a 15% discount code for the entire Freetrain website: HEREWEARERUNNING15 at freetrain.co.uk
Chris, I hope you will be okay -- I just read a news story that the U.K. will have record-breaking heat waves next week. Be careful in your running -- don't get sick. Take care.
Thanks Cathy. We've certainly got a few very hot days ahead of us. I think it'll probably be too hot to run. Things set to return to normal on Wednesday, so looking forward to that!
@@HereWeAreRunning Yes, it might be too hot to run in your record-breaking heat wave -- don't risk your health, Chris. Stick with a local swimming pool instead of running if you have to -- or your treadmill, if it doesn't bore you too much! Take care.
Chris, are you okay? Are you still training for your half marathon? If you changed your mind, it's okay, you don't have to do it just because your viewers voted for it. You can train for a water-ski championship instead. 😃
Still planning to train for a HM but training hasn't started yet. Work getting in the way of running at the moment and my mojo his gone missing. Hopefully I'll get back into this soon.
@@HereWeAreRunning Chris, thank you for your reply. I am happy to hear you are okay, as you seem to be a very nice person. You will get your mojo back once you start running again and go to some of your beautiful local park runs - and you can always avoid the painful Reigert Hill if that is keeping you away from running!

Thank you. I'm hoping to get back into more regular running during the next couple of weeks.

Thanks for sharing your feedback. I agree, great value for what you get.
Nice review.
It seems to be *neither fish nor fowl*.... 1 water bottle, phone, small *other* storage.
However: with a small running belt holding another water bottle + a small concentrated or still powdered Tailwind©®™ in a small bottle, ready to put into water, a front pocket a *tiny* squashable running jacket attached and this would certainly be more than adequate for (up to) *short* ultra distances... given there are appropriate water stations.
Love the look and style of the vest.
How adjustable is it?, I'm quite a big dude with a wide chest, how ideal would it be for someone like myself?
It has elasticated straps at each side which are adjustable to fit most body sizes.

I am running the London marathon this year. Would you recommend buying one of these vests to use for the marathon.
Thanks

Is the phone pocket the same height as the standard vest?
Yes, I believe so
@@HereWeAreRunning shame think they needed to make it a few more mms for large phones. And how warm is it compared to the other model?
@@Fozzee.1970 Same type of material, so warmth will be similar. Has some ventilation built into it.
Great video Chris - is there a link to discount code from Freetrain? Thanks
I don't have a discount code, I'm afraid but the link to the product is here: freetrain.co.uk/products/freetrain-hydro-1-vest
