I applaud 👏🏻 those who are multi-lingual because it ain’t easy to learn new languages and cultures. I’m learning Japanese 🇯🇵 and Russian 🇷🇺 which are one of the hardest language’s to learn and it’s a struggle 🥵
English is your native language? Do you speak Spanish?
Wow good for you! Hard languages indeed.
@@user-dv6hx4ye4c English is my native language. I am not a Spanish speaker, but would like to learn it as well
Дорогой друг, удачи тебе ❤️
Russian language is very interesting
I am currently studying English and German

in brief:
The video discusses strategies and the importance of consistency in language learning, especially for those with busy schedules.
1. **Introduction**:
- The video addresses those who have multiple responsibilities and struggle to find time for language learning.
- Motivation is unreliable; it fluctuates daily. The benefits of language learning, not the act itself, are what drive many.
- Relying solely on motivation or self-discipline often fails. The solution is to create systems that don't depend on either.
2. **Why Learn a Language?**:
- Learning languages improves cognitive abilities and offers opportunities to connect with new people, potentially leading to business opportunities.
- The internet has made networking easier, allowing for connections across the globe.
- Learning a language also broadens one's perspective, as it comes with understanding the culture and customs of the speakers.
3. **Creating a System for Language Learning**:
- Day 1: Planning and feedback day. Understand why you want to learn a language and plan realistically.
- Day 2: Creation Day. For instance, create flashcards for vocabulary.
- Days 3-7: Study days. Listen to content in the target language, practice with flashcards, and complete daily tasks.
4. **Consistency is Key**:
- Consistency, combined with reflection and improvement, is crucial. It's more important than raw talent or motivation.
- The video emphasizes the importance of outworking others and being persistent. Consistency will eventually lead to success, even if one faces failures along the way.
5. **Recommendations**:
- The video recommends the Lingoda Language Sprints, a two-month intensive learning challenge, to see rapid progress.
- The sprints offer group and private lessons in various languages, focusing on real-life conversations.
6. **Conclusion**:
- The video concludes with a message about the power of consistency. While talent, luck, and skills are essential, being consistent can outshine them all.
- The journey might be filled with failures, but persistence and consistency will lead to success.
The video serves as an inspirational guide for those looking to integrate language learning into their busy lives, emphasizing the power of consistency and systematic planning.
Thanks!!
YOU ARE PERFECT
I just want to say Ruri you have grown so much, I remember following you from when you were just a few months old and loving your content, im proud of all you have accomplished thus far🥰
After watching this, I want to continue learning Japanese and Korean. I got interested in those languages because of anime and K-pop. I have been learning it casually by myself for many years, and I took a Japanese online class for a semester. I want to learn so I can travel to Japan and Korea one day. Thank you, Ruri, for making this video! It's so helpful and informative.😊👍💕
You got this!
Hiii! I'm learning Japanese and Korean as well and with the same thinking as you do! I love kdrama and anime :)) GOODLUCK TO YOU! WE GOT THIS!
Congratulations for learning Japanese and Korean language, I want to learn someday too.
@@FujisamaProductions Thank you!🤗
@@joshualot2305 That's awesome! I like K-drama too. I wish you luck on your language learning!🤗💕
Speaking with foreign friends makes learning languages fun and sustainable.
Thank you for all of your help! I watch you because i started re-learning Japanese last August then i ran into the rest of your videos. You are so inspiring and i admire your consistency and dedication to your channel! ❤❤❤
"improving feels good. It brings confidence" > Agreed!! Thank you so much, Professor Ruri Ohama!
I always try my best to continue to improve my English and a lot of native English speakers have told me that not only do they feel that I have good English but because of my mindset to always look for improvement, they said that I will surpass many native English speakers just because many of them are already content with the vocabulary that they have at their disposal and so they stay there, in contrast to me who always look to learn more. I listen to interviews from youtube mostly that's when I learn the best and also interacting with people who speak English to put what I learned to use :) I don't always have much to add to your content but yeah keep up the good work Ruri! Take care and much love to you all!
this is a sign, im currently learning Japanese and you always give me tips ive never heard or seen before, i will do my best to always Support this channel!
Watching just one of Ruri's videos helps me to pump myself for months. Each and every word you say makes me more motivated and sophisticated. Love you Ruri💜️🖤 And Thank you for your hard work.
As I started learning Japanese meticulously, this is exactly the kind of video I need to see. Thank you Ruri!
It's ridiculously mind-blowing to break down the rule of 100 into a day: just 18 minutes. And you'll be better than 95% of the world. Just 18 minutes a day. Thanks for sharing with us!
Ruri, we have followed you on your channel for quite some time now. We can remember when you did not have so many followers. We are so very happy for you and you continue to motivate us to do more and to be the best versions of ourselves that we can be. Thank you so very much for this video!
Great video! Finding time to learn a language while working can be challenging, but it's definitely possible. I appreciate the tips you shared, like utilizing breaks, commuting time, and creating a consistent schedule. It's all about prioritizing and being consistent. Thanks for the helpful advice!
You almost hit 1M subs congrats Ruri! I love languages but I often give up because I don't find irl people with the same passion of mine. Plus, I'm not surrounded by people that speak my target languages and I ask myself "should I learn skills that are more worth it? Is my passion "stupid" compared to others?" Many times I say to myself that I've not been able to make a living from my hobbies and passions. Often I even neglect my passions because I reckon others to be more "useful". Need to learn listening to myself
Thank you for this video. A lot of times, when i practice a new language. i feel stupid and bad for not understanding something right away, then i get demotivated and stop, but the things you said about consistency are definitely going to help me out with carrying on even if i suck for a while.
You’re almost a million subs. I’ll say congrats before it hits. Congrats!!!🎉

Hi Ruri , love your videos. Big fan of yours.
Greetings from philippines 😊 ❤️
I love this video so much especially when you talk about consistency. Thank you for that Ruri.
Thank you so much!
I left to study my Italian and portuguese because of lack of motivation. This video makes me reconsider some aspects about my journey learning!
Appreciate your kind efforts to assist individuals like us who aspire to learn different languages. English is the specific language I am determined to enhance my proficiency in speaking and writing. May your channel continue to assist a wider audience, serving as a source of inspiration and motivation for those aiming to learn another language, particularly non-native speakers who seek to improve their chances of securing promising employment opportunities in the future and providing support for their families and loved ones. I wish your UA-cam channel continued success and growth.
Ruri , to be honest with you,you inspire me soo much . Your videos are so helpful . Love you 🩷
Your videos is so inspiring every time! That part about feeling like a loser is so true 😅 I lost count how many time I gave up at something thinking I'm not good enough and then just to come back to try again and again
keep going
Keep doing it you got it!
The fact that you come back and try again says a lot with the personality you have and I can see that you have a resilient and tenacious mind. Keep on going!
I'm struguling with Japanese and I also have exams next year in German but I never really study it cuz either I procrastinate it or forget it and then I don't have time and it's the end of the day but this video helped me. I had the mindset that if I had to study I had to do it properly but I can just take 20 mins out of my day just each day to learn it and get ahead. Thank you so much Ruri you are my favourite creator when it comes to improving💚
Even studying 10 minutes/day is far better than doing nothing :) I’m rooting for your success 🔥
@@alfafi2425 who gona read all of that !?
Thank you Ruri, yeah I completely agree with you. Consistency is very powerful. Between September and January, I was studying Spanish on Busuu every morning and it was great. After this video, I want to force myself again to be consistent about my goals.

This was what I was waiting for! Thanks!
Your speaking, accent is incredibly perfect and fluent 😊
Ruri we really need this type of tonic . Thanks 😊
Your video is absolutely stellar! I'm Emmanuel, currently living in Quebec, Canada - the second largest French-speaking province in the world after France. After relocating here and beginning my studies at McGill University, I encountered significant challenges due to the language barrier. Despite English being my first language, my lack of French proficiency has hindered my ability to secure the professional job I desire. This experience underscores how crucial communication skills are and how relying solely on one language can be insufficient.
Bonjour :) je suis moi-même Québécoise and learned English as a second language. You must know that even if your French isn't great, you need to power through and almost demand yo be served in French, even if your knowledge isn't great. By putting yourself in everyday situations like when ordering at the restaurant, not only you will practice, but you will also gain respect of other people and your peers. Tu peux le faire :)
@terukiato 👌 Wow! Merci beaucoup mosieur!

Congrats!Best Wishes from Ankara.Good luck Dear Ruri.
Thank you for this useful and motivational video!
In Turkish 🇹🇷 there is also saying saying “bir lisan bir insan” -literally means “one language, one person.” - meaning that one (additional) language enables you to get to know another person/different culture.
Keep up the good work language learners! :)💪🏻
Congrats for 1M subs!!! I'm from São Paulo, Brazil. I love a lot of your videos!!!

How to make time for language learning with a full time job?
Actually balancing language learning with a full-time job can be very challenging, but with proper planning & dedication, it is certainly possible. Here are some strategies to help you make time for language learning:-
1. Set some realistic goals: Determine what you want to achieve in your language learning journey & set specific, achievable goals.
Having clear objectives will help you stay motivated & focused.
2.Create a schedule: Plan dedicated time for language learning in your daily or weekly schedule. Identify pockets of time that you can consistently allocate for learning, such as early mornings, evenings, or weekends.
3. Prioritize & eliminate distractions: Evaluate your daily activities & dentify areas where you can save time. Minimize or eliminate non-essential activities that consume your time, such as excessive TV watching or scrolling through social media. Prioritize language learning during those saved hours.
4. Utilize commuting time: If you commute to work, utilize that time for language learning. Listen to language learning podcasts, audiobooks, or use language learning apps during your commute. This way, you can make the most of the time that would otherwise be spent idle.
5. Break down learning sessions: Instead of trying to find large blocks of time, break down your language learning sessions into smaller, more manageable chunks. Even 15-30 minutes of focused learning each day can make a significant difference over time.
6. Incorporate language learning into your daily routine: Find ways to integrate language learning into your daily activities. For example, change your phone or computer settings to the target language, label items in your house with their corresponding foreign language names, or practice speaking the language while doing household chores.
7. Use online resources & apps: Take advantage of language learning resources available online & mobile apps that allow you to learn on the go. Platforms like Duolingo, Memrise, Babbel, or FluentU offer interactive lessons & exercises that can be accessed anytime.
8. Find language exchange partners: Connect with native speakers or language exchange partners who are learning your native language. Schedule regular language exchange sessions where you can practice speaking and improve your skills.
9.Stay motivated: Keep your motivation high by reminding yourself of your language learning goals & the benefits it will bring. Celebrate small achievements along the way to maintain enthusiasm and track your progress.
10. Be consistent: Consistency is key when learning a language. Aim for regular, consistent practice rather than occasional intense study sessions. Even if you can only devote a few minutes each day, the cumulative effect will make a difference.
Remember, learning a language is a long-term process, so be patient and enjoy the journey. With consistent effort & effective time management, you can successfully balance language learning with your full-time job.

I really enjoyed seeing the content. Keep supplying. Thanks for sharing.♥️✌️😁 Just amazing
OMG u hit 1 million :)))))))))) ❤
Atm am doing my best to learn Spanish but I always constantly put things off until the next day. I don't have ADHD but I do suffer from something called "OCD" which causes me to have intrusive thoughts & it's a pain dealing with them on a daily to daily basis so am doing my best to fix the areas of my mind first before I focus on other things since I've realized everything starts within the mind. I've watched 2 of your UA-cam videos this being my second one and I'd just like to say you have great ideologies & advice on life I rlly appreciate that. There's so much I wanna do with my life that I don't even worry about relationships or anything like that since I've realized that's not rlly important rather my goals & happiness comes first. And I do agree with u consistency is very important. I rlly want to make a better life not just for me but my mom & am willing to do wtever it takes to make it happen I rlly am. I don't wanna be old with regrets in life...I wanna achieve as much as possible this world has to offer & am willing to do wtever it takes..Life can be so hard but it's even harder staying in the same place..same routine..with no changes..Thank u very much for this video am willing to take your advice & apply it to my life because time is so short nowadays I feel like am running out of time so I do my best to make each day count.
OMG congratulations with 1M🥳🥳🥳🥳
I clicked on this video not because I lack motivation :)

That jacket makes you appear way more confident than usual. A video on the idea of "look good feel good" and it's effect on quality of life and goal attainment would be awesome if you haven't made one already
